21.01.2022 Posted @withregram @thomstewart You might be aware that, for the moment, in NSW weddings are still technically permitted, so long as there are no more than 5 people present. That’s the couple, two witnesses and the celebrant - basically, the bare minimum number people needed to make the marriage legal. So yesterday at Somerley House, along with celebrant Alex Lollback, Michelle and I played double agents: I took photos, Michelle shot video, and we were also the witnesses! I...t was a joy to see Caitlin and Steven exchange their vows in the late afternoon autumn sun. 12.01.2022 S A M + T I M We couldn’t recommend Alex highly enough as a wedding celebrant in the Southern Highlands. Right from the beginning, she was super relaxed, supportive and keen to really understand us as a couple and customise the ceremony to suit our style and story. She provided guidance on the process and what was required, but was really flexible with us on how we wanted to do things and the vows / vibe / messaging of the day.... The day itself was freezing cold (in March!), it had been raining and there were plenty of nerves on our end, but Alex was fantastic at putting us at ease. She is the perfect mix of a consummate professional and a fun, easy-going mate. Many of our guests commented on how impressed they were with her, and am sure we will get many requests for referrals. 11.01.2022 STEPH + JAMES Alex was friendly, professional, and extremely organised throughout the entire process of planning our ceremony (not to mention very patient when a busy month before the wedding held us up in finishing our questionnaires and writing our vows!). When the big day finally came around, Alex made us and all our guests feel comfortable and relaxed, creating a beautiful ceremony that had the perfect atmosphere. She had us all laughing and crying in exactly the right... places, and we were absolutely blown away by the way she took our questionnaire responses on board to tell our story in a really personal and meaningful way. After the ceremony, our guests were raving about Alex and commenting on what an excellent job she had done. I’ve always loved weekday weddings. For sunset on Monday, I walked with Zara and Josh to the highest point of Centennial Vineyards. I wanted a nice drone shot of them walking near the grape vines with the sun setting in the background. We arrived just as the sun was about to touch the horizon. The vines were all lit up and there was a wonderful stillness in the air. It was the perfect end to an amazing afternoon. 06.01.2022 Couple feedback: CORBEY + LUKE We were so lucky to have Alex be our Celebrant for our wedding ceremony on 22.2.2020 On first meeting Alex, I knew straight away that we had made the right decision in choosing Her for our special day. We wanted a laid back, funny and heartfelt ceremony and that’s exactly what we got. Every step of the way was so easy and stress free.... During our ceremony, as my husband was saying his vows, one of our guests fainted - she kept her composure and we had no idea that anything happened until after our vows were said! Then Alex went into saving the day! She kept everyone extremely calm helped organise everyone and assisted with our guest. After all that excitement she got on with our ceremony and finished it beautifully. I honestly can’t believe how amazingly she handled the whole situation! It was so calm! If it were anyone else, things wouldn’t have been so easy. I’m extremely grateful for all Alex did for us on our day and she made it the best day ever! This might feel like the biggest decision in your life right now and I agree, it’s a total bummer. But I also believe that the safety of your loved ones and the rest of the community including all the wedding staff, make up artist, photographer and videographer are ...paramount. Most vendors and venues I have spoken to are being incredibly flexible in re-booking at no charge so I urge you to at least re-think your plans. THIS INCLUDES ME!
