23.01.2022 We have a ton (literally) of free firewood available here at Axxe, Fyshwick. It's always out the front and you're free to take a little or as much as you like! (Please be careful when handling the wood so that you don't get any splinters! Gloves are advised. Some pieces of wood may also contain long screws so please be aware)

Approximately 2 - 12 hours a week, must be available Friday nights and weekends. ... The position involves hosting groups of 2-12 players, explaining and upholding safety standards, demonstrating and teaching axe throwing techniques (which will be taught to you), keeping our customers engages through fun and friendly banter and general cleaning and minor maintenance. 22.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS FOR ALL WHO LOVE AXE THROWING. The 'One Day Tournament' is back! (And completely inclusive of all skill levels.) The O.D.T is a friendly competition for 18+ where we want everyone to have fun, but also for it to be as fair as possible. So for the first time in AXXE history, we are going to have two brackets! Our first-time tournament entrants in bracket one, and our experienced throwers in bracket two.... It is a league-style tournament where each participant will have four games against randomly selected opponents. The two highest accumulated scores will then have a final, and the winner will be crowned the CHAMPION! There are prizes to be won and fun to be had! Spectators are welcome, as it is always important to have your cheer squad. As we are very conscious of the restrictions and we only have limited places in the tournament, so get in quick and secure your spot. When: 15 September 7:00pm - 9:30pm Where: Axxe, 4/1 Lyell Street, Fyshwick What to bring: Closed-toe shoes From 6:30pm - 7:00pm, we are also offering practise throws for $10, if you want to get warmed up before the big event! 20.01.2022 In accordance with the latest government updates for the COVID-19 pandemic, Axxe is temporarily closing its doors to the public. As an entertainment venue, the government has closed all non-essential entertainment to help stop the potential spread of COVID-19. We have contacted all customers with bookings in the next few weeks via email. If you have a reservation and haven't heard anything, please message us on Facebook, and we'll let you know about the options.... We hope everyone is staying safe and looking after each other. It is going to be a hard time for everyone, but especially for small businesses, so if you feel like helping out your local businesses, you can buy gift vouchers to help them stay afloat during this challenging time.

19.01.2022 The ONE DAY TOURNAMENT is tonight! We still have a few spots available tonight with 100% of profits going to #SLABSFORHEROES. Spectators are welcome. BentSpoke Brewing Co have generously donated a bunch of prizes for us to give away tonight and we can't thank them enough!... We will also be having a raffle tonight with prizes from BentSpoke and some other stuff thrown in too, open to all players and spectators to help raise money for the cause. We also have practise throws open from 6:30pm till 7:00pm before the tournament starts which is $10. Very happy to say all proceeds went to #SLABSFORHEROES, and a special congrats to Keith for taking the win this time around! Make sure you keep an eye out for our next one day tournament! They're an absolute blast to run and we'll hopefully have more through out the year!

15.01.2022 Unfortunately, the One Day Tournament scheduled for Tuesday 24 March is cancelled due to low booking numbers. All those that have bought tickets have been fully refunded and notified via email. We hope to see you all at the next One Day Tournament in June, and remember to get your tickets early! Ticket sales will close 10 June.... At this stage League Season 8 will still go ahead, pending numbers and government health advice.

We're doing our best to help prevent the spread of COVID-19: We've increased our cleaning schedule significantly.... We'll be asking all players to use hand sanitiser before participating. We'll be separating axe throwing lanes to maximise distance between players. We'll be keeping an eye on all the health updates and government recommendations. We ask that if you are experiencing any symptoms to stay at home and take necessary precautions.
