22.01.2022 Who needs a mid year get away? Lucky we just launched our retreat and it’s smack bang in the middle of the year to curb those winter blues! We’re headed back to Vanam Retreat in Mount Victoria. It was such a great weekend last year, we couldn’t help ourselves! ... Check out all the info over at the website and get in touch to book your place!! https://www.ayamayoga.com.au/retreat

21.01.2022 Woke up this morning to a message that a beautiful soul has left her body here on earth. It’s such a sobering reminder of how fragile life is, of how beautiful this life is Hug your loved ones just a little tighter, today and always. ...

16.01.2022 We’re back baby! I’m so excited to be back in the studio tonight! We still have a few spots left if you’re keen to join us! ... Jump on the website to book! www.ayamayoga.com.au/book Our new space is located at Suite 1, 728 Old Princes Highway, Sutherland. Right next door to Flow Physio Co and up the stairs! 15.01.2022 Can we have your attention please! We have some super, super exciting news! We’re re-opening! Well, sort of. ... As you know we unfortunately had to close our Jannali studio. However, we have found ourselves the most beautiful new yoga home just a hop, skip and a jump away in Sutherland! We will now be based in the divine space known as Healing Inside Out. There will be a few changes. If the iso-life taught me anything it was that I need to slow the down! I was teaching close to 25 classes a week and quickly burning myself out. I also have gotten super used to having dinner at a normal time (instead of 11pm when I was getting home!) So! We will have just 3 classes a week: Monday 6pm Back to Basics Wednesday 6pm Hatha Saturday 8am Hatha Classes will remain small with a max of 9 but with restrictions still in place classes will currently be maxed out at 7. I will be following government advice (and my own judgement) on when this will increase. Bookings are still essential and you can do so as you usually would on the website! If you were previously on a 5/10 class pass, these have been updated and are still good to use (if you have any questions about this please message me!) I ask that you please bring your own mats (and blocks/bolsters if you have them) Classes in sutherland will commence 1st July, they’re all up online ready for you to book your place. I am so beyond excited to see you all again in person and not behind a screen!! If you have any questions at all please message me! Namaste Jess unknown The moon reminding us that change is beautiful at every stage

15.01.2022 Wishing you all a wonderful, very hoppy and safe Easter with your families! If you can’t be with them in person today, I hope you still found a way to connect with them

15.01.2022 FIN. Yesterday I handed the keys back and just like that the studio is no longer. I started this biz when I had just turned 24 and seemingly knew very little. Nearly two and a half years later I’m so damn proud of what WE created in this space. I’ve always said that the studio would just be 4 walls without the love poured into it by the students who filled the mats and the teachers that held the space for them. ... When I first inspected the property to see if it was right, I was skeptical. It was red brick, cold and super dark, even with the natural light and the (excessive) lights all on! I came home and was flicking through Instagram, as you do, and I came across a quote Old bones, fresh start, new beginnings. And I knew. I signed the lease that week. I never knew what it would become. I never really intended to create a business, I just wanted a space to teach seeing as I was fresh out of teacher training and no one would hire me with no experience. Fast forward 6 months and I was able to quit my full time job and work for myself. The universe has a funny way of giving you opportunities and challenges when you need them most. I strongly believe that I was given this opportunity to meet all of my beautiful students, most of which I would now call friends! It is not goodbye friends, it’s just another fresh start and new beginnings. *if you have messaged me in the last week, I’m slowly getting back to you all! I’m about half way through about 100 messages/emails. So if I haven’t replied to you, I promise I will! Thank you for your patience

14.01.2022 We are LIVE! All classes have been uploaded to the website so you’re able to book in. www.ayamayoga.com.au/book... Classes will be live streamed for now as this I think keeps the connection between us in such an isolating period. We have had a slight change in the timetable so please see below. As I mentioned in our last post, if you have already registered for classes this week, I have automatically added you into the new online classes. If you have not received a new email (this will contain the link you need to access the class) please let me know ASAP so I can fix this for you. Again, I appreciate your support and patience during this time and I will continue to bring you yoga (and quality jokes ) when it is needed most! If you have sent through an email/called/messaged, I have seen it, I just have currently over 50 messages/emails I need to reply to so will get there very soon! Namaste P.S I won't be playing background music with live classes as it interrupts the sound and the microphone. Please feel free to jump onto my Spotify which is what I use for all the classes and select a playlist or feel free to use your own if you wish! https://open.spotify.com/user/22csfx7ioqaa4zjehedc3nciq

12.01.2022 Dearest Yogis, It is with the heaviest heart I’m writing this post today. Unfortunately due to the COVID crisis and the unknown of how long the studio will be closed for I have made the decision to close Ayama permanently. This is an incredibly hard decision for me to make, not one I made lightly or one I ever wanted to be making. However to financially survive the pandemic I had to look at this from a personal view. ... I am unsure what the future holds for Ayama. We may find other premises after this has settled or we may not. In any case, I would love to still connect with you so this may mean pop up classes in the park or by the beach (especially as it warms up!) I know many of you were on 5/10 class passes before the pandemic began. Please rest assure that I will be refunding all passes that we’re unused in the next few weeks. I will be in touch with you personally to do this. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to drop me and email or send me a text. Online classes will continue to run for the time being until it is a little safe for me to offer outdoor classes/find an alternate space. Yogis, I want to thank you for your endless support not only through the last few months but the last few years. Each day I do wonder how I got lucky enough to have such beautiful students walk through my door. I have loved getting to know your stories and celebrating your wins over the years. I won’t ever be able to put into words how grateful I am for you all. Please know I won’t be going too far and you may still see me around the area. I will be keeping this page active for any changes so if you ever do need to chat or just touch base please know that you can contact me at any time. With endless love and gratitude, From my heart to yours, Namaste Jess

Also, yes it’s 100% allowed to practice on your PJ’s ... If you’re joining us for yin, grab a blanket and a pillow/bolster if you have one. www.ayamayoga.com.au/book

11.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Yogis, it it with mixed emotions I write this to you. With the newest information from the government today we have decided to suspend all face to face classes effective immediately. ... WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? This means that you will no longer (for the time being) attend a class at the studio. You will however have the opportunity to still practice with live stream classes from wherever you are! HOW WILL IT WORK? We will be using the streaming platform, Zoom to be running our virtual classes. You will need to download this on your chosen device (you will be prompted through this). The Zoom app for both mobile devices and laptops is a free download. You can book the online classes the exact same way as you normally would via the website (www.ayamayoga.com.au/book) Online classes will be live on the website tomorrow at 12pm to book. The confirmation email will contain a link that will give you access to the class (check your junk folder if it doesn’t go directly to your inbox) I will meet you there and we will practice together! ONLINE INVESTMENT CHANGES Online classes will have a slight drop in our asking investment costs. Casual class: $15 per class 5 class passes: $65 ($13 per class) 10 class passes: $100 ($10 a class) But I have already booked my classes this week!? If you have already booked your classes this week, you will automatically be added in to the online classes. If you would prefer not to be, please contact us directly on [email protected] I’m on a class pass already, what do I do? If you are already on a pass, we will contact you directly to credit your account for the extra classes you’ll now receive Most of all yogis, I appreciate your support during this strange time. This online game is all new to me and whilst I endeavor to make it a seamless transition I ask for your patience whilst we figure out this together. If you have any questions at all, PLEASE don’t hesitate to contact me directly. All our contact info can be found on the website. Stay well, stay kind, stay informed and we will make it through this together Namaste (inside)

11.01.2022 Yogis, let’s talk Coronavirus or COVID-19 We are taking every measure we can in studio to play our part. Whilst we have always offered you our studio mats, during this time we are urging everyone to bring their own. Our mats will still be available to use and are being cleaned before and after practice with a 100% alcohol based cleanser to ensure we kill any germs. If you are bringing your own mat, I will leave the spray to clean your mat after class as well. Where possi...ble, when you get home roll them out and let them dry (preferably somewhere sunny! Germs hate sun!) It goes without saying, if you feel unwell, please stay home and rest (though we have always stressed that it’s important to rest your body when it’s crying for it) We will also be ceasing hands on Savasana adjustments for the time being. I know for some of you this is your favorite part but we think it’s for the best! They’re not gone forever, just taking a short hiatus Should it come to it, we will follow authorities and possibly close, have no fear! I am currently working on setting up online classes which will follow the same timetable (perhaps a little altered) so you can still practice from the comfort of your home! Please let me know below if this is something you would be interested in? We are following the updates closely as we believe that knowledge is power in times like these (and anytime for that matter!) we will keep you updated as the situation unfolds. We ask that you wash you hands, sneeze into your elbow and please be kind. Namaste, Jess Pictured is one of our beautiful students, Sigourney, absolutely nailing Ardha Baddha Padmottanasana or half bound lotus forward fold.

08.01.2022 Happy Monday Yogis! Just a quick little update. Going forward for the next few weeks classes will still be online until I secure a new space for classes. The health of students is absolutely paramount so I won’t be rushing into anything as soon as restrictions are lifted. ... I’m hoping to recommence face to face classes come July but I will keep you updated! Reminder that there is no class tonight, enjoy your public holiday! (Though to be honest each day seems to be blending into the next, do we have weekends anymore? Who knows!) Slight timetable change as well, see below! Thank you once again for your support and patience, I cannot thank you enough

01.01.2022 Technical issues big time at my place today. No class tonight gang! trying to get class up for Saturday Thank you for your patience
