02.01.2022 Its going to take a super human effort to clean up 8 mile beach this weekend! The Anindilyakwa Land & Sea Rangers have described that the marine debris on the eastern beaches is some of the worst that has been seen in recent years. Please come along on Saturday morning and get involved in Clean Up Groote Eylandt Day 2021. We have again partnered with South32 GEMCO to run this community beach clean-up event. It will be a voice for safer communities and a fairer justice system. On Tuesday there will be a meeting at 10am at the Police Station in Angurugu. This meeting is to talk about how the new Community Justice Group can now get started with its work, and how the group will work together with Police, Courts, Services & Government, and our Communities. All people who are interested in better justice on Groote should come along to this meeting. It is a chance to learn more about the Group and get involved.
