23.01.2022 Cherry pickers have an edge in mango picking! You will be paid $40/bin with an additional $10/bin incentive if you sign up till the end of the season, roughly around NEW YEARS! An average picker can harvest at least 7 bins a day and as you get better, you can potentially do 12-14 bins a day!... 18.01.2022 Big thanks to the Northern District Branch of Surf Lifesaving for letting us take around 30 of their teens to see a cane fire tonight. These guys are out at Alva Beach doing their bronze medallion this week. Great time had by all, especially the mosquitoes!!

With the recent relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions in Queensland, we're now able to offer beds to backpackers who have previously quarantined in Queensland and hold a quarantine certificate. Right now we have a lot of work available and more is coming. 04.01.2022 Yes - we have a LOT of work available at the moment Yes - some of that work will pay you $400 - $500 / day, no BS. Most of it is award at $24.36 / hour Yes - the work is reliable all the way up to the end of the year Yes - you will earn days towards your 88 days Yes - we have beds available and you can book now... Yes - we have hostel transport to take you to work and back Yes - you will be working weekends, sometimes even Sunday Yes - we've had a lot of people finish their 88 days recently, many are sticking around and continuing to work Yes - there are rules for the hostel including a curfew. We're a working hostel and the focus is on the work... and we still like to have a bit of fun :) Yes - we are located in Ayr, North Queensland No - you shouldn't expect to do 88 days in 88 days. Why? Mostly its weather related. If it's raining, no work. If the fruit hasn't ripened sufficiently, no work. No - you won't get ripped off on a crappy piece rate. You'll make fair to good money in Ayr No - we don't have single rooms. All our accommodation is dormitory style with only a few couples rooms available No - we're not only for backpackers. 04.01.2022 Watermelon workers needed!! Working hard in the fields of Ayr, you'll be paid the award rate of $24.36 / hr. Then... when you've got the hang of it if you want to you can transition to piece rate and REALLY begin to make some money! All with the security of the award rate should you want it. These roles are starting next week and we need around 15 strong people to fill these positions. ... To scoop one of these positions you'll need to be in Queensland and able to get to Ayr ASAP.
