Participating businesses are all current Ayr and Home Hill Chamber of Commerce membe...rs only and do not need to be participating in the Burdekin Gift Cards program. Look out for the signage instore. See www.ayrchamber.com.au/about for terms and conditions. An initiative of the Home Hill Chamber of Commerce and Ayr Chamber of Commerce in with support from the Burdekin Shire Council. The Chambers would like to take advantage of the current trend to buy local and provide support to local business, by encouraging shopping with a loyalty rewards program. Small business in the Burdekin is in need of a boost, and the Chambers are directing their joint efforts to provide this support. Shoppers collect stamps to go into the draw to win one of 10x $50 Burdekin Gift Cards per month, and one of 4x $1,000 Burdekin Gift Cards per year. Shoppers will be presented with a Burdekin Rewards loyalty card with 28 squares on one side. Each time they shop at a participating business they receive one (1) stamp per $100 spend, (e.g. a spend of $5 will receive one stamp, a spend of $101 receives two stamps) up to a maximum of $2,800 (one full card) per transaction. The shoppers then write their name, phone and postcode on the reverse side and place the finished card in a barrel (at one of the collection points).
