25.01.2022 Hi everyone, My drawing for tonight. Landscape of Collective Ideas 2. 'The physical manifestation of an abstract concept'. Charcoal sealed with clear acrylic coloured with pastels, then sealed with clear acrylic on A4 watercolour paper.... From drawing this abstract interpretation of an abstract idea, I thought that the full vision that I was wanting to achieve would only come to life with the use of colour. I think that I done that, what do you think? Regards, take care and stay safe, David. See more

24.01.2022 Hi everyone, This is my encaustic Artwork for tonight. I imagine following the locals from the last caven to where we are now. Curiosity is a big part of being a human, to see what is over the next ridge, or what is around the corner. To just go and see what others have not seen. I can do this with my imagination as I continue on this Artistic journey. Continued tomorrow............... This is on offer for $20.00 [Aust']. Regards, take care and stay safe, David. See more

24.01.2022 Hi everyone, My artwork for today. Life throws you lemons, you make lemonade. Title - Surrender. Acrylic and ink on a 600mm x 600mm panel.... I have finished off the making of some art panels at the Men's Shed. One of them is 600mm x 600mm and I thought that I would do an abstract horse with my airbrush. I haven't used my airbrush for a while and as luck would have it it needed a good clean. There was no time to do this, therefore I went to "Plan B". Something that I have been wanting to try for a long time is finger painting and therefore I saw this as a great opportunity, not a problem having an airbrush that was not working. The second photo is the result. It has to be signed and sealed with clear and then made ready for hanging. Regards, take care and stay safe, David. See more

23.01.2022 Hi everyone, This is my Artwork for tonight. Title - Woody and George. Pencil on A4 size paper. The Indian Ocean has been a big part of my life.... Reminders like Woody, because he is made from Balsa wood, and George "The board" have given me great joy and times that I thought that I was going to die. This is my interpretation of them going for a surf together. Looks like George is 'Dropping in', but they are old mates and will enjoy the wave together. Regards, take care and stay safe, David. 23.01.2022 I everyone, This is my artwork for tonight. Title - Ann, David & Trixi Lancelin 1960. Pencil on A4 size paper. This is my interpretation of a photo taken outside of our hut in Lancelin in 1960.... The importance of this is that Ann and myself were two of the children that made up the children to go to the first school in Lancelin that started in 1960. Talking to Ann she thinks that she was the eldest and I know that I was the youngest. The 60th anniversary of the opening of the school is happening later next month. Regards, take care and stay safe, David. See more

They are to be learnt from and go to make up the pattern of the tapestry that is The Landscape of collective ideas. Like the "knapping" of flint or other hard stone for ...the making of cutting tools as sharp as a scalpel. Then to steel and other metals, now there are ceramic knives as well. This is my abstract interpretation of "The Landscape of Collective Ideas". This is on offer for $30.00 [includes worldwide postage. Regards, take care and stay safe, David. See more
