24.01.2022 Today our students enjoyed some activities to celebrate the launch of Ayr State School's BOOK FAIR!! This years theme is Arctic Adventures as there is 'Snow Much to See and Read!!' Visit Mrs Soper in the Library!!

24.01.2022 Book Fair is still running until Thursday. Just go and visit Mrs Soper in the Library at 8.30am to 9.00am or 3. 00pm to 3.30pm each day. We have books, posters, stationary AND more books! Thank you to everyone who has already supported our Book Fair.

23.01.2022 This week our students had a surprise visit by Ray Thompson from the Cowboys! He read the P-3's his favourite stories and played a game on the oval with the 4-6 students!

17.01.2022 WINNERS ARE GRINNERS!! Congratulations to Tomah and Boston for guessing the closest number in the "Guess the Polar Bear Food" competition run by Mrs Soper in conjunction with our Book Fair. The amount of Polar Bear Food was 143 and both students guessed 153. Enjoy your prizes boys

Our theme this week is Christmas Activities include playdough, balls, easel painting, obstacle course, bubbles, water play, trikes and trucks. 09.01.2022 Visual arts today in 456 A & B: Making our turtles ! We used clay to sculpture the turtles. Then will put in the oven to make them set.

04.01.2022 Today our year 6 students discovered how kindness can influence the behaviour of others. To do this we delivered cup cakes and cards to members of our hard working community and this made them feel great. When others feel great we feel great too . Well done students, you made Ayr State proud! Thank you to PCYC, Ayr Police Station, RAR therapy and the Burdekin Library for letting us share some photos.

01.01.2022 Another amazing week of ALL STARS!! Congratulations to our huge amount of students that have moved up another reading level!!

01.01.2022 STEP UP TO PREP~FRIDAY 9-10AM! Last week we had fun being scientist. We made rain clouds with shaving cream and added colour water to make rain! We a...dded coloured vinegar to bicarb ‘snow’, mixing the colours and watching the fizz! We took home our amazing eyedropper paintings. This week we are going to be building roads and using the Beebot robots!
