23.01.2022 Sibling Love Mummas Love The anticipation of waiting for a new family member can be pretty overwhelming for all members. The love that grows for the unborn can reach that bursting point at just the right time! Callum here is currently the 3rd of 3 boys and waiting so patiently for his sibling. Mumma Rachel knows these feelings oh so well! She knows the feelings of Re-birth of the Mother. This will be her 4th Re-birth as a Women, a Mother, a Wife. ... A 4th Re-birth as a new Her! She is also fully aware that somethings, the more you do, doesn’t necessarily mean it gets easier. Not meaning harder but different. Each birth, each baby, each Re-birth can be completely different. The raw emotions of becoming a New Born Mother are feelings Rachel are well aware of. She’s been aquatinted with the roller coaster of these before and she’s armed and ready for her 4th journey. She’s, like every single one of us Mothers reading this, a Warrior! Her armour is her gorgeous supportive family, her amazing midwives, her strong tribe of support people (one of these, Mumma of 9 all home births, last 3 full home free births!!! Makes my heart burst ) and myself as a Postpartum Doula. They are all ready to catch the baby while I’m ready to catch Rachel, the New Born Mother Baby is due to arrive at home, surrounded by family and big brothers on November 26th

21.01.2022 I am an Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula A WHAT??? The title of what one does is not important, what they do, is. So, what I do is I take care of the New Born Mothers after the birth of their child. Because when a child is born unto us a new Mother is also born! The Postpartum period of a Womens life is the most wonderful crazy emotional roller coaster that she may ever go through. The raw feelings of unconditional love can be so very overwhelming and can often cause many unwan...ted emotions as well. I chose to become a Postpartum Doula when I saw the high statistics of Postpartum depression. I felt a calling to be able to help those in need, those who are raising the next generation. Being a Mother of 2 myself I know full well the journey and the emotions and I believe it is a journey for the family as a whole. Ayurveda is the oldest health care system in the world, dating back to the written Vedics of over 5,000yrs. The basic principles are on the 5 elements, fire, air, earth, water and ether (space). Each and everyone of us has our unique combination. This is our natural state. Social and environmental influences can cause an imbalance in our natural state along with times and events in our lives. As an Ayurvedic Therapist I can help you to find your natural state (Dosha) and look through on how, if any, imbalances have occurred and how we can very simply bring things back into balance. Because when we are in balance mentally, physically, spiritually then we have good health. Combining my Ayurvedic knowledge and love and care for New Mothers, I can help to bring Mum back into balance. After the amazing most wondrous and extremely life changing journey of birth and into motherhood. There are many imbalances that can occur as Mum prepares herself for her new life. I can help Mum with non-judgemental support holding a loving space to listen and care. I treat the whole body, mentally, physically, spiritually. I have no care for race, religion, gender nor creed. I look at each individual as simply that, an individual and what your constitution is and how we can work together to bring it back into balance through massage, breathing techniques, exercise and most importantly, nutrition. No meal plans, strict diets, shakes, pills or packets. Just simple, nutritious food. As it should be, for YOU. To provide enough energy for what you are doing. (A breast feeding Mums energy output is similar to running 15km a day!!) Would you like to know more?? *More about the ancient knowledge of Ayurveda and how it can help you? *More about the Postpartum period and how we can help to avoid unwanted emotions and triggers? *More about how you can help your friends or family members with understanding who they are and their individual needs?

20.01.2022 Food! Glorious Food!! It nourishes us, fuels us, heals us, grounds us... I’m all about the correct nutrition to achieve the goal! This is a Mummas breakfast. Ready to feed, fuel and nourish a big day ahead. Because let’s face it, everyday is a big day when you’re raising a child.... It doesn’t need to be complicated, it shouldn’t be complicated. Food to nourish should be simple, easy, made with love and ALWAYS easy to digest! Mums food should be warm, cooked well, moist and nutritious! NOT cold salads and freezing smoothies!! Here we have: Oats long slow cooked with a big spoonful of ghee, turmeric oil and chia seeds. Stewed pears. Again in ghee, cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom. Golden milk with turmeric oil, cinnamon stick and Manuka honey. #postpartum #birth #mothersfuel #ayurveda #ayurvedapostpartum #satvicfood #madewithlove
