19.01.2022 Well, this is the next stage of a new chapter. In Townsville last night with our beautiful granddaughter, Lexi, on our way to Port Douglas to celebrate our 50 th wedding anniversary. All 4 children will be there and 5 of our 9 grandchildren. How lucky are we?!!

14.01.2022 Pinch ourselves - we’re dreaming. Long flight but arrived safely in Dublin. Amazed that our luggage was booked through from Mackay to London and arrived without any problems. Just had to go through immigration and customs at Heathrow and again in Dublin. People have been so helpful and friendly- great to see. Singapore airlines were wonderful to travel with. Aer Lingus from Heathrow to Dublin. Loved Heathrow airport. Night 1 at the Bonnington hotel, had a lovely dinner at the Croft Bar , managed to stay awake until 7 pm. KS bed, very comfortable . Just got to get the body clock worked out.!! Wish I’d put my bathers in - great pool and gym.

13.01.2022 David and I went for an hour long walk along the beach yesterday, then accidentally came upon a Sunset Anzac Day Service on the beach. It was quite beautiful. Off for another walk again today. Just been to England and Ireland and had an absolutely fantastic time. Saw family in England and went on a 10 day bus tour around Ireland. What a magical part of the world. So lucky to have these opportunities.

07.01.2022 Well, would you believe this - here we are at Heathrow airport and just about to board a plane for Dublin. We have come to England to see Ash, Stacy, Noah and Olivia and decided to do a bus tour of Ireland before the kids have a week’s holiday. As you can imagine, we are very excited!! We have never met Olivia and only saw Noah when he was a new born baby. We flew Singapore airlines from Brisbane to London and are now on an AerLingus flight to Dublin. Heathrow is impeccab...ly clean and so far the people we have met have been very friendly. Signing off now until tomorrow. Cheers, Barb and Dave See more
