24.01.2022 Pelvic Curls on the Reformer Every type of exercise has its own form of bridge. They are all correct and beautiful in there own way. We call it pelvic curl, we still get all the work through the back line of the body but we also focus on spinal mobility. Plus a lot of hamstrings the lighter the springs the harder you work in this one.



23.01.2022 Just a reminder how our amazing graded group reformer classes work: FUNDAMENTALS is our entry level class, stay here as long as you like ..... but if want to work harder and have done at least 5 Fundamentals classes you can definitely try Intermediate or Fit. INTERMEDIATE means we build on the moves you learnt in Fundamentals increasing: flow, repetitions and complexity. However we still do it in the levels style, start with easier option then add challenge so you can stil...l choose the right one for you on the day. FIT is a reformer class utilising the reformer jumpboard, it sounds intense and it is but not in the impact kind of way. Smooth controlled jumping sets mixed in with conditioning moves. Still bring your Pilates technique but be prepared to get sweaty.

16.01.2022 We had fun and learnt a lot in our session with Sam, a women’s health physio at In2motion. Sam can use ultrasound to check if you are activating pelvic floor and deep abs correctly. Check out how clearly you can see the 3 layers of abdominals. As instructors we are talking pelvic floor and abdominals all day so we had trouble relaxing and letting go Pilates is a full body workout that includes correct activation of pelvic floor and deep abdominals if you find it difficult or would just like to check you are zipping up correctly book a session with Sam.

13.01.2022 What is REFORMER SWEAT? Cardio rebounding using the Jumpboard in the Reformer. Make it as intense as you like depending on which springs you use. We don’t jump the whole time we mix in conditioning exercises, eg lots of glutes and abs. Its very different to regular jumping exercises, more time, less load than full body weight so really helps with ankle/knee alignment. While it is more intense it’s not an advanced class, try it out anytime after you have completed 5 funda...mentals classes. 09.01.2022 Hi I’m Alannah now teaching Thursday mornings I have such a passion for all things health, fitness and mindset. I’ve been a personal trainer for 6 years I have my cert III & cert IV in fitness. I personally fell in love with Pilates, the way it strengthens from the inside out, keeping you toned, has me feeling better overall and more flexible. I became Pilates Mat and reformer qualified.
