19.01.2022 HOW TO GET A 30 DAY TRIAL FOR FREE Leading a healthy life is easy when you have established simple, good habits through out your day. So let's help each other to set them up. ... Guidelines by the Australian Health Department say we should be consuming at least 5 serves of vegetables each day. This week, I have challenged me team to do just that. Eat 5 serves of vegetables each day. For extra motivation - for every serve of vegetable they eat, I will do a burpee. Sounds like fun :) But even if you're not a member of Raise your B.A.R, you can still give this challenge a go. And instead of me doing burpees for your serves of vegetables, I will take $1 off your 30 day trial - which is ordinarily $30 - So if you have 5 serves of vegetable per day, you will get a 30 day trial of unlimited access to bootcamps FOR FREE!!! Simple message through at the end of each day a photo of your serves of vegetables and I will deduct the $ for your trial :) easy For more information on our classes and timetable simply send through a message and I will get back to you asap.

06.01.2022 5 WAYS TO EXERCISE AS A BUSY MUM Does this sound like you? I can’t work out. I don’t have time for that between picking up the children, nursing, cleaning, working and cooking. There’s no way. I’m too tired. ... A study done by the University of Georgia, published by the New York Times says, Too often we believe that a quick workout will leave us worn out especially when we are already feeling fatigued, said researcher Tim Puetz, in a news release. Dr. Puetz recently completed his doctorate at the university and is the lead author of the study. However, we have shown that regular exercise can actually go a long way in increasing feelings of energy particularly in sedentary individuals. Exercising has proven to boost energy. Even a small 10-15 minute one. Or a quick walk around the block! So here are 5 ways you can get a bit of extra exercise into your day 1 - Download an app and do short workouts from home. There is no shortage of these apps. If you would like some other ideas, You can even view some of our 20 minute live workouts in the video section :) 2 - Find a gym that you can take the kids along to and either be looked after in a creche or have them join in a workout. All of our group training sessions are family friendly as I believe in setting a good example for the next generation and letting kids participate, so bring the kids along. 3 - Get in a walk where you can and take the kids along with you. Perhaps you can walk to school instead of driving. Or go for a jog around the block in that spare 10 mins instead of facebook scrolling (guilty) 4 - Get the family involved. set a step challenge in your family and get everyone moving together, that way you're not having to find 'your' time to get a workout in, you can challenge your family to do it together 5 - If you don't have a block of time to get in a workout out, then set yourself 1 minute challenges all through the day. 1 minute squats, plank, push ups, sprints on the spot. If every 30 minutes you did 1 minute of moving you will still get 15 - 20 minutes of exercise completed that day.

03.01.2022 There is a sweet moment each morning when the sun comes out and the rays of light shine over the earth. Its your chance to start fresh, get focused and smash your day. ... We're lucky at our 5.30am bootcamps we get to watch this sunrise each morning- such a perfect start to the day

03.01.2022 MINDSET IS EVERYTHING Nobody is immune to the minds ability to take the easy route in life. We all have those moments or days when the motivation is non existent and our brain convinces us that the best thing to do is to sit on the couch and watch Netflix. On Friday, I had one of those days. I was operating on only 10hrs of interrupted sleep from the last 3 days thanks to my teething baby and extra work hours. ... My immediate thought when I got back home after bootcamp was - just go lie down and have a sleep. But I knew that if I didn't train that morning, the day would get away from me and it just wouldn't happen at all. So instead of listening to the voice in my head, I listened to my body. Physically I was fine and ready to go, I just needed to convince my brain of this. So I started bargaining with that little voice. I said that I would go outside and just do a light bench press session. It's easy to set up, I can even lie down while I do it- easy my brain accepted this and after doing my warm up was a little more open to doing more. So I pushed the weights a bit and ended up doing the heaviest press I've done post pregnancy. WIN I checked in with my body - it's now more energised. So, I went back to that little voice in my head and told it I wanted to do some more. We completed some rehab exercises for my back which turned into heavy bent over rows. Another win. My body and brain were now on a high together and through the power of momentum, I completed a Slamball cardio finisher. video below if you want to give it a go Moral of the story - our brain is designed to keep us safe and comfortable. This doesn't always work in our favour when it comes to our health and fitness. Listen to your body, not your head. Get the momentum started by doing something simple and easy and then be amazed at what you can accomplish
