It is a question so many of us forget to ask when we invest in a #personaltrainer #nutritionist #exercisephysiologist #dietitian #strengthandconditioncoach And this has been one of the largest contributing factors to an industry full of COWBOYS who train and injure clients and give incorrect and often unsafe dietary advice ... In my 13 years of fitness industry experience, I have witnessed personal trainers get their clients to do highly unsafe activities that have resulted in injuries such as: personal trainer with no massage qualification charging for massage and damaging a clients achilles tendon personal trainer making a woman in her 50's with two bad knees, bad back and overweight step up on to a box that was half the height of her damaging her knees further personal trainer making beginner level clients with no fitness experience walk up steep incline hills on treadmills carrying heavy medicine balls above their heads, hurting their backs personal trainer making a client with low back disc degeneration and sciatica perform high risk abdominal exercises that exacerbated her sciatica for years personal trainer (s) yes I have numerous accounts of this one...recommending high protein low carbohydrate diet plans without nutrition qualifications, (but their body builder friend did this diet and it worked for them) causing kidney damage in one client, eating disorder in another as a result of fear tactics surrounding advice given and the client adhering to the advice, weight gain due to excessive restriction combined with too much exercise, hair loss, depression, chronic fatigue, chronic respiratory infections due to the client being an endurance runner but restricting carbohydrates. NONE of these clients that shared their story with me felt they could call out their trainer. DUTY OF CARE is sadly lacking still after so many years. And a 'SMASH MENTALITY' still prevails that you can only have done a good workout if you feel sore.... ASK YOUR HEALTH OR FITNESS PROFESSIONAL WHERE THEY DID THEIR STUDY, AND WHAT LEVEL? CERT? DIPLOMA? UNI? WHAT REGISTERED TRAINING ORGANISATION AND

02.01.2022 Some people are happy to stay within their comfort zone for most of their lives...and there is nothing wrong with that...whatever makes you happy! Some people are always looking to move forwards, learn and grow...this can be scary at times and feel like you are on a cliff edge...but once you have stepped in to the outer zones you feel huge amounts of self accomplishment, achievement and inner happiness. Be proud of who you are and where you are knowing it makes you h...appy. DON'T compare to others and what they have or their JOURNEY....because it is exactly that....THEIR JOURNEY No two are the same HAPPINESS does not come from COMPARING your own life to those surrounding you. HAPPINESS comes from knowing you are doing what you need to do and living up to your own expectations of what your life should look like...and not other peoples

I can tell you that as YOU grow older there is a realisation that life ain't always #peachy ... and as much as most of us at some stage go ..."why me...what did I do to deserve this?" ... YOU can do that for a short time whilst you process the events and emotions.... BUT spend too long in that state and YOUR days will not be so #bright Its OK to feel like #crapola ... that's a part of life and if YOU try escape the shitty feelings it can lead to a darker path. Its ONE STAGE of the #process that stage must end at some point in order for YOU to keep living YOUR #bestlife Don't wait for #happiness to find YOU YOU must search for it! When YOU struggle to find anything to look forward to ask YOURSELF this .... is your emotional mind or your common sense mind dominating? Keep YOURSELF in check friends. STEP BACK...assess the situation....if YOUR #FRIEND was going through what you are what would YOU say to them? Are YOU doing the same for YOU??
