24.01.2022 Happy 2017. Its time to celebrate our achievements from our work last year. Our container of bikes made it to Okahandja, Namibia, where local people undertook training in bike mechanics and business provided by Bicycling Empowerment Network Namibia. There are 300 people who now have a bike thanks to generous donations by the people of Adelaide. Thank you! Our second container needs about 50 more bikes to be full, so if you know of anyone with an unused mountain bike, suggest that they donate it to B4H Adelaide!

19.01.2022 Thank you to Jaxon, who donated 11 bikes to Bicycles for Humanity today. As part of his school project, he sourced discarded bikes and repaired them to working order, with some guidance from his dad, Carl. You are a super guy Jaxon.

15.01.2022 Today we had a generous donation of bikes from Adam. Adam lives in Murray Bridge and for many years has wanted to start a Bike Repair Business. With the help of his support provider Community Living Australia his dream was realised in November 2017 when he opened a work shop at the rear of the Community Living Australia building. With the assistance of a grant from the CLA Foundation he has been accepting donations from the community of pushbikes, repairing and cleaning them,... then on selling to people within the community at a reduced cost. His business has grown so fast that he had an excess of bikes with no homes for them. Support workers suggested that he look at donating these extra bikes to a charity. Adam with the help of staff was made aware of Bicycles for Humanity and it was organised for him to donate to this charity. On Tuesday 4th December Adam was proud to drop off 6 bikes to U Store It Keswick for Bicycles for Humanity Adelaide. Thank you Adam! See more

03.01.2022 Clean up Namibia, create hundreds of jobs and reuse tonnes of glass, plastic, paper and steel packagingthese are the objectives of our latest project, which wi...ll use bicycle trailers to collect recyclable materials. Were starting at Walvis Bay and Swakopmund over the next month with 10 trailers, with each operator selling what they collect direct to our partner Rent-a-Drum, who sort and export the materials. We aim to cover the whole of Namibia with recycling units, and eventually to collect enough materials for local recycling production to become viable. A big thanks to FNB Foundation and The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives for supporting the project. See more
