14.01.2022 We are super excited to be back in the Helensvale Community Centre, running our STEM program for homeschoolers on Tuesday mornings, making sure we keep COVID safe while having fun! Limited spots are still available! This term we are exploring different sources of energy in our Energy is Everywhere unit. Today's build (garbage truck) allowed us to explore the idea of biomass energy, produced by using the gases that come off our decomposing garbage in landfills. We had a grea...t discussion about whether biomass energy is renewable (will we always produce enough rubbish to create these gases?) or non-renewable (will we eventually stop producing the copious amounts of rubbish we do today?). What are your thoughts?
