24.01.2022 Pippi is looking for her new home- mainly because I'm starting to have far too much fun riding her and if I'm not careful I'm going to want to keep her 13.1 (approx), 7yo, registered Australian pony (4th gen). At this stage she would suit a confident teenager or adult because she is still greenish and needs some more life experiences. Absolutely no dirt (she puts up with my antics) but can get worried and looks to her rider for reassurance. Needs a rider with soft hands and an independent seat- she's forward moving and sensitive but tries her hardest to please. I'll try and get some more photos/video on the weekend.
23.01.2022 Baala Beersheba D.O.B: 22.10.17 Sire: Sternbergs Lenaro Dam: Boonahburra Devon... Bill is super friendly, inquisitive and first at the gate for a pat. Always eager to assist in whatever you happen to be doing, from fixing fences to catching other ponies, the trick is not catching him but trying to get rid of him. Knows how to lead, tie and stands politely for the farrier. Bills calm disposition makes him easy to teach and willing to learn. Bill currently stands around the 14-14.1hh mark, but the fact the back end is higher than the front end makes me suspect hes still eating his Wheeties and may get very close too or over height. Once he stops going up and starts going out, he should mature into a very solid boy- perfect if youve ever wanted to own a Sherman tank. His sire has been successful in dressage and show jumping, and is now showing at Royal level in WA. When broken in, Bill would suit an adult or older junior who wants to be successful while having great fun and is looking for someone to be his best mate. 3500. For enquires call 0467646773.

17.01.2022 With the float out after PC thought we might give the young ones a refresher on float loading. Bill took about 3 minutes to figure out there was hay involved and then was quite happy to come on and off a few times. Lili took a bit longer but figured it out (tho my phone died so no video).

15.01.2022 Well, Its been a crazy couple of weeks (hello, gobal pandemic) but finally got a moment to post some photos from Aonach. Always a fun weekend,thankfully happened just in time. Monahan Quickstep picked up a 3rd int he Novice dressage, a 5th in the Working Hunter and a 3rd in the 80cm Showjumping. Baala All That Jazz got a 3rd in the Loose Jumping and was nominated as Kids Pony for the weekend and was my nieces mount. They had a great time in the AIRR ring. They came 3rd in the Young Handler, 2nd in the Basic Training, 2nd in the Bending Poles and 1st in the Jumping. Jazz has found her calling as a kids mount. Thanks once again to Zita and co. for running such a great event and to everyone who took photos (as my strapper got commandeered). See everyone next year.

14.01.2022 Baala Leroy Brown S: Sternbergs Lenaro (IMP) D: Monahan Quickstep HWSD: untested... I had plans to turn Leroy into my dressage pony- however I can only ride so many ponies, so Leroy needs to find someone else who wants a new best friend. 4yo and currently standing a smidge under 14hh, Leroy is ready to break in. Unlike his namesake, Leroy has the sweetest temperament and always ready for a cuddle (and a carrot). A big solid boy with plenty of bone, Leroy would make an ideal family mount- able to go out and compete with Mum one weekend and then take the kids to PC the next. Both parents have performed well in dressage, showjumping and the show ring, as well giving pony ride to kids. Very reluctant sale. For enquiries please call 0467746773

12.01.2022 Saturday saw us back at Elmore for part 2 of The Battle of the Breeds. Dot (Monahan Quickstep) put her best hoof forward, pulling off: 3rd Prelim1A 1st Prelim1C Reserve Champion Preliminary Series Champion Preliminary... Best Performed Connemara of the Day Best Performed Connemara of the Series. Thanks to Kate Storey-Whyte from Blandings Connemara Ponies for sponsoring the Connemara Performance award. Thanks also to my ever wonderful Mother/Strapper/Photographer and to Che Hetherington, who kept us company, and her boy Clairevale Constellation, who also had an impressive day and showed that the Connemaras are the ones to beat!

11.01.2022 Last weekend was spent replacing the back fence. The original sheep fencing (probably 50+ years old) which had survived numerous floods and was only standing due to some rusty barb wire and inertia, has been replaced with something twice as high and 10x more solid. One down, so many to go...

A very successful weekend. 1st Working Hunter 75cm Reserve Champion Working Hunter 4th Best Presented M&M Show Hunter 5th Led M&M Show Hunter Mare... 1st Ridden M&M Show Hunter Mare Reserve Champion Ridden M&M Show Hunter 1st Ridden Connemara Mare Champion Ridden Connemara 1st Connemara Mare, over 4yo Champion Connemara Mare Supreme Connemara Pony Lots of nice comments on how chilled out Dot was, and how she looked like such a fun pony to ride (which she is!) Also really nice to have some fellow Connies outing competing!
