18.01.2022 As the Chairman and Founder of Babana Aboriginal Men's Group I wanted to quickly reflect on the year that we are farewelling. It was a tough time for all of us ...and sadly we lost some of our members during the year, but the board and I were determined that we would push through and continue to provide support. Our flagship Coloured Diggers Event was held over Zoom and the majority of our monthly meetings also moved into the virtual space. While these were not the norm, it did allow us to remain connected with our community. Our Aboriginal Employment and Aboriginal Mental Health and Suicide Prevention events were able to be held face to face and we would like to express our many thanks to both the NRMA, Harbour Trust and CESPHN for assisting in our events. We were also able to form a lot of partnerships throughout 2020 and built on our existing partnerships which will be important moving into 2021 and beyond, we have been working hard over the last few months on the events and activities we will be providing next year. On behalf of our board I want to wish each and everyone of our of members and supporters a Safe and Happy New Year. I look forward to seeing you all in 2021 and being able to work together to continue to improve the lives of our people. Stay Safe, Stay Connected and look out for our community who might be in need. Mark Spinks
