23.01.2022 Tony's been chasing these birds for a while , and todaywe found them in the Blackwood trees at the back of the shelter. A pair of Shining Bronze-Cuckoos, feeding young as well... very rare around here.

Animal rescuer #TonyWooley lost his home and beloved wildlife sanctuary. A school portable was placed on his land which Tony still resides in. His home after all these years has still not been replaced. Tony is a very quiet achiever and does not ask for much. Tonys motto is to Rescue, Raise, Rehabilitate & Release injured and orphaned animals that come into his care. The shelter is not-for-profit and relies on donations from the public in-kind and financially.

02.01.2022 A juvenile Black Faced Cuckoo Shrike came in a few days ago with a gaping wound to its abdomen. It had lost a lot of blood and was looking very sick . But seems to have come through the ordeal very well and has its appetite back....
