22.01.2022 Our old man Bert Bert (he will be 32 in December!) checking out the latest arrival Pablo who has just come for some training For reference Bertie is 12.2hh...

22.01.2022 We need your help! On our last guess that obstacle post - quite a few of you were right! Our latest obstacle is a suspension bridge! But we think it looks more like a jetty !! It’s not quite finished - but it’s well on the way to being road tested by our clan of trusty steeds!... As most of you know we are building up quite a collection of awesome obstacles which will one day be for available hire! We want to cater to all levels, from quiet fun to extreme! However we are running out of ideas for new obstacles! Have you seen something cool? Got a unique idea you would love to see come to life? Hit us with your awesome obstacle ideas!

22.01.2022 Sound up for this one! Lucky we can train horses cause pigs are a whole different story! When we got Sergeant Bacon someone laughed and said they are the best and worse pets you will ever have - This pretty much sums them up hilarious and fun but seriously frustratingly hard work... ... After owning a pig you quickly understand where all those sayings come from... Squeals like a pig Arrogant pig Pig headed Eats like a pig Carries on like a pork chop Stubborn pig... The list goes on!! We are quite strict on his feeding manners as originally he could be snappy. So we make sure he can tolerate being patted while eating, have food taken off him and most importantly be patient and like a dog sit and wait for his dinner. He is however quite possibly the most moody creature on earth... and he holds grudges... Bearing in mind we purchased him after he had been returned to the breeder for squealing too much in suburbia and we suspect he has SPS (spoiled pig syndrome) so maybe they aren’t all like this! For you viewing and listening pleasure here we provide you with a small taster of the daily entertaining life that is Sergeant Bacon...

19.01.2022 Fun evening playing with full sisters Perdie and Allegra at liberty in the big arena for the first time :)

18.01.2022 Making our own fun on a rainy day... Ellie wasn’t a fan of spray bottles or scary things behind her. She’s now becoming calm and brave! The liberty work is really helping her self manage and become more confident in herself.

17.01.2022 We love it when we get horses come back and visit us again after having previously done some foundation training. It means that we can get straight into the fun stuff! Young Allegra (Kristine Pilkington’s gorgeous Friesian/Andalusian/Lipizzaner yearling filly) is such a pleasure to work with! She’s been back a little over a week and already learnt hips towards, back up from behind and started liberty circles. Such a smart little cookie!

16.01.2022 Think this one qualifies as a baby and a brat

15.01.2022 Bacon just lurvvvvvvs his mini Bacon!

14.01.2022 Tudes Big Day Out (of his yard...) Lin Neighlands

14.01.2022 Pablo may only be knee high to a grasshopper but there was only one obstacle that he couldn’t manage... Can you guess which? Watch the video to find out!

14.01.2022 Show us your filming fails! As you probably know we are always preaching to keep a buffer zone between you and your horse. Teaching horses about personal space is a huge part of what we do! Working with unknown horses all the time we are usually very vigilant in order to stay safe. Sometimes however if you are multitasking and concentrating just a little too hard on filming, you can forget there is someone creeping in on the other end of the leadrope

14.01.2022 Cami is becoming such a star! She’s really learnt how to learn and picks up new things so quickly. She learnt stationary circles and backwards steering in a session. She’s got so much try now!

14.01.2022 We intentionally built some of our yards tall... really tall (2.1m). There’s always that one horse... Creepy Kevin...... Kevy went home today - he got a gold The versatile thoroughbred! He aced all the obstacles and learnt some new liberty buttons. Not bad for a now dressage horse that won nearly half a million $ on the track!

12.01.2022 We are fortunate enough to spend time with so many amazing horses and some of these horses leave big hoof prints on your heart. This is a small tribute to a beautiful young filly that we had the pleasure of handling and working with weekly, from the very beginnings shortly after her birth. We watched her progress into a well mannered, confident young lady. However life can be so unfair sometimes and she suffered a very rare colic and underwent surgery. No expense was spared... trying to save this filly’s life but she was just too good for this world. Our deepest condolences to Tracey Louise MacNaughton and Jim.

11.01.2022 Bentley + Grey = Bromance... And they like it rough! Sam Langley Jessjess Doab

11.01.2022 Never miss a training opportunity! We are blessed with amazing neighbours on both sides. One of our neighbours today was saying how they don’t let the grandkids ride their bikes on Sunday as they don’t want to scare the horses. We appreciate their consideration but we said please go for it! We would much rather the horses be exposed to the sights and sounds of trail bikes when we have the opportunity to control the situation and help the horses through if need be rather than... meet them for the first time out on trail as they wizz past. When something scary is going in the background we still expect the horses to keep listening to us and be guided by us. This is the time they need you the most. By providing confident leadership and not freaking out yourself about the perceived scary thing - we can help show the horse that there is nothing to fear - help redirect their feet if need be and start to show them how to relax among commotion. This was Pluto’s first go sidepassing down the log - so he definitely isn’t relaxed or entirely coordinated with his legs yet - but considering the bikes were going in the background, we were super proud of his effort at remaining soft in the hand and listening to Candie while she helps him place his feet for the first time.

10.01.2022 Awesome article!

10.01.2022 Gorgeous Grey has gone home now and doing well. This video of his training is too good not to share Grey was very triggered by sound and things popping up in front of and behind the float. He scrambled very badly. So Denise and Candie were doing some desensitisation. ... Candie - can he even see us through the window? It’s really dark! Might not be able to see in but you can sure see out

10.01.2022 Young Marilyn - the first horse to cross the completed suspension bridge such a good girl!

10.01.2022 Here you go Anne Airey! Good Boy Brax Hilary Sugg Mentally loading and seeking the float

08.01.2022 Little Pablo is just too cute! We don’t think he knows he is knee high to a grasshopper! He takes on anything! Everyone else seems to be intrigued by him though!

08.01.2022 Ellie having a go at our latest toy... #babiesandbrats #makingbravehorses #rockroller

07.01.2022 The hazards of filming Part 2

06.01.2022 How’s this for a 10month old TB! Beautiful colt! Tried so hard today!

04.01.2022 Coming up with new ways to make sure we can load into the float - any bay - anytime - from anywhere! Good girl Arizona!

03.01.2022 What did your horse do?? We reckon ours would be... Cami - attacked a teacher... Bertie - refused to go to class Slinky - referred to a psychologist, can’t concentrate in class - suspected ADHD Leo - smoking weed with the years 12 thugs Calico - wore make up to school Sharly - swore at the teacher Archie - pulled a kids pants down Effie - telling everyone she’s pregnant - May actually be true Splash - stole another kids lunch and ate it Jasper - wagged school and started a BLM protest

03.01.2022 Our page has surpassed 2000 likes! Thank you for all the support! It’s a full house here at the moment. All the horses were happily munching away tonight. ... Much fun trying to work horses in this weather!

02.01.2022 The work here just never ends lol! But the new yard feels make it all worth it! Happy dry ponies! #somuchrain #nomoreslosh

01.01.2022 Watch this space... Any guess?!
