22.01.2022 RSL Art Exhibition opens Friday 8th September at 5pm until 9pm. The opening night has Live Music, Bar and nibbles. $5 entry fee on Friday. Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th opens 10am - 5pm. There is a $2 donation to view the exhibition Saturday and Sunday.

07.01.2022 BABINDA CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND EXPERIENCE Looking for a local Christmas event with a difference? this Christmas season the Babinda RSL Memorial Hall will again be the home of the Babinda Christmas Wonderland Experience.... Our intrepid volunteers, known locally as the Christmas Elves, have re-imagined the display this year so it has a definite fairy story slant. Taking inspiration from children's storybooks, there is a hall full of interactive displays to be enjoyed. Take the family on a magic carpet ride to mystical Arabia. See who is in the forest on the way to Grandma's House. Find Frosty The Snowman and his friends in their winter home. Flights of fancy are everywhere, all aimed to delight and enchant everyone who visits the event. We have heard that Santa will again take time in his busy schedule to drop in during the course of the event so there is a good chance you will meet him in his workshop. Please be welcome to take photographs. We would love you to record your experience and make some lasting memories of your time in Wonderland. Maybe take those special family photos for Christmas? Please share your magic moments in photo and comment on the Babinda RSL SubBranch facebook page. You can be a part of the Babinda Christmas Wonderland Experience at the Babinda RSL Memorial Hall from the 16th to the 19th of December. Session times are 2 pm to 4.30 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm daily. entry is $5 per person with no charge for children under 3 years of age. All proceeds go to support the Babinda RSL. 02.01.2022 A Christmas Wonderland In Babinda The Christmas season is a special time of the year and a very special group of people in Babinda want you and your family to have a very unique Christmas Experience. Some of you might know the Babinda Christmas Wonderland Experience event from its inaugural showing last year. For those who have had the experience, and those new to the event, it is on again this December from the 9th to the 15th . Our dedicated volunteers, also known as Ch...ristmas elves, are back at work transforming the Babinda R.S.L Memorial Hall into an amazing adventure into the world of Christmas fun and fancy. Travel through the old-world charm of Victorian London to a good old Aussie Bush Christmas with visits to the lands of the Mediterranean, Asia, Australia, the Arctic, the Christmas Tree Forest and Santa's Workshop along the way. There have been new displays added this year and lots of twinkling lights will illuminate the whole hall. All the dioramas are interactive and there are many fabulous costumes for you to wear for that unforgettable Christmas photo to share with friends and family. Yes, we encourage you to record your visit to this fun event, so make sure you bring your camera, tablet, smart phone, etc with you. As a special treat this year, Santa has made time in his busy schedule to drop into his workshop on a regular basis and is looking forward to meet you when you visit. The Babinda Christmas Wonderland Experience will be held in the Babinda R.S.L Memorial Hall in School Street Babinda. Opening night is Friday 9 December from 7 pm to 9 pm and from Saturday 10 December to Thursday 15 December the Wonderland will be open from 2 pm to 4.30 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm daily. Entry fee is $5 per person with children under 3 years of age admitted free of charge. All proceeds from this event go to support the Babinda R.S.L.
