20.01.2022 5 great things to do when your feeling stressed. We know that many people in Canberra are feeling the stress of the last few weeks and been effected by the fires. Some of our clients have mentioned looking for ways to destress. The 5 top things we recommend to clients are:... Drink a cup of herbal tea - herbal tea can help cleanse our systems if you a feeling a bit down with all the smoke. They are also refreshing. Set up a vaporiser or spray into the air some of your favourite essential oils. Essential oils can remind us of good times and bring some freshness into stale air. Pop on a heat pack - might sound counter intuitive, but a warm heat pack can sooth tight muscles and bring fresh blood back to an areas in your body. Can also pop a drop of your favourite essential oil on the pack to get extra benefits. Yoga or stretching - as we can't get outside and do exercise like we normally do at this time of year due to the smoke. Find a free yoga channel or surf the internet to find some yoga that you can put on your TV or computer. You don't even have to leave your house. Massage - massage helps to create some normality in our lives and rescue stress and anxiety. It's not a decision I made easily, as we know that we can't be there to help, when that is what we love to do and want to do. But this is for every business and family around the world who are being affected by this virus. Our world has changed so rapidly over the last few months and Im still getting my head around it. I have never experienced a time like this and I keep wondering what happened to t...he world in the last few months.. I dont have any answers except to look after yourself, your family and your community at this time. This is what we are doing at the clinic, many of which were already part of our standard practices.... * When you arrive at the clinic, please wash your hands or use hand sanitiser provided at the front desk, we also have sanitiser wipes available in all our treatment rooms. * All our linen is all washed using both a washing detergent and linen sanitiser. * All rooms are cleaned between clients and equipment that is used regularly is cleaned and sanitised. * Our eftpos machines, communal computers/phones, reception desks and waiting areas will continue to be cleaned and sanitised frequently. We ask you that if you have any: If you have any viral symptoms or are sick, please call us and we will help you to post pone your appointment until you are well enough to attend and recommend you seek medical advice. We don't want to put other patients at risk by sharing the same facilities. If you have travelled overseas and have viral symptoms, or have been around someone with a confirmed case of Coronavirus we ask that you please notify our staff and postpone your appointment for at least 14 days.
