07.01.2022 Hi everyone - hope you are all well. Keep spreading the word on this page, we have some really great content and coming up - including commencing regular Facebook Live "Q and A" sessions as well as "Topic Talk" sessions. But more on that later. For now, let's have a conversation about screen time. One of the biggest "threats" for all of us in relation to our sleep health and our children's sleep health - is the advent of the technology age....and along with that all the va...rious screens we are being exposed to every single day. Toddlers from as young as 18 months spending hours on screens every day. There is 100 % no doubt that excessive amounts of screen time for us as adults, has an impact on the quality of our sleep, and even our ability to be able to fall asleep in the first place. And it's exactly the same for our children. Each of us should stop and think (as in REALLY think)... How many hours each day are my children on screens for? And are they on screens right before bedtime? Keeping a diary log for a few days of each and every time our kids are on screens for (and also noting the time of the day they are on), is a very useful exercise - and one which can be quite a shock. When you know what you are dealing with in terms of your child's ACTUAL screen time on a day to day basis - then from there, you make a conscious and active effort to regulate / reduce screen time (if its needed). In Australia, the current recommendation is for no more than 2 hours of screen time for children, with screen time NOT recommended for children under 2 years. Please see the following post, which is copy of text from an article written by journalist Lanai Scarr.

03.01.2022 I certainly dont profess to be an expert on ADHD or ADD. However, I have believed for a long time that there is a strong link with ADHD / ADD in children and long term / sustained sleep deprivation starting from when the child was an infant. https://www.google.com.au//the-relationship-between-adhd-a
