18.01.2022 ATTENTION TO ALL SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT I am sorry to say that the 2020 FORBES BABY BOOMERS MUSIC FESTIVAL HAS BEEN CANCELLED.... THIS A DIRECT EFFECT PF THE CORVID-19 PANDEMIC. If you have bought tickets thru 123tix they have been instructed to refund all pre bought tickets. Due to the closure of the FORBES SERVICES MEMORIAL CLUB and no income for the club for the foreseeable future they have withdraw their sponsorship for 2020 and they dont know how long this will go on for they are financially unable to be a sponsor. I am sorry for canceling this festival and wish you all the best for your future and if 2021 happens then I hope to talk to you again. All artists and shows have been notified and any decision regarding 2021 will be made when the closure and virus is over and we are all back to whatever normal will be. I am sure you understand in todays circumstances. I thank all those who supported our festival and we loo forward to your support in the coming year and beyond. 15.01.2022 FORBES BABY BOOMERS MUSIC FESTIVAL SATURDAY AFTER NOON SHOW "ALL GREASED UP" Go Grease lightning The RocknRoll experience ... All Greased Up has been touring successfully throughout Australia and New Zealand since 2002, consisting of two principal performers Susie jay and Joe Ace who leave audiences totally captivated. The show starts and ends with the hit songs of the movie GREASE featuring Danny (John Ravolting) and Sandy (Olivia Neutron-Bomb) as they reminisce, about where they first meet, and the great times they had at Rydal high, 30 years ago. This show pays tribute to the songs of the 70s cult movie and the legends of the 50s RocknRoll era, complete with superb costumes, comedy, great vocals and just lots of fun. During the show other artists are introduced such as Elvis, Roy Orbison, Connie Frances and many others. The show is fast paced and great to watch but the whole audience is encouraged to sing-a-long and dance throughout the show especially joining in with the movements to hand jive and grease lightning. FABBA + 70S DISCO On April 6th, 1974, a relatively unknown Swedish group won the Eurovision Song Contest with a song titled Waterloo ABBA had arrived, and the rest is history.... But by 1982 it was all over. Even though ABBA ceased to record or tour together, their music continued to entertain, to enthrall, to inspire. The countless hits have transcended time to remain as popular today as they were when first released, in some cases more so. The movies Muriels Wedding and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert both featured ABBAs music and won the group whole new generations of fans. The opening of the musical and the movie versions of MAMMA MIA! have audiences dancing in the aisles, reliving memories and for some, discovering the ABBA sound for the first time. FABBA will take you on a musical journey when life was as good as an Abba song and the only way to travel was on the Priscilla Bus from Eurovision to Mamma Mia to the Abba phenomenon with all the songs, costumes and comedy combined into one FABBA-ulous show!
