01.01.2022 Hi, I know for a lot of people routine is a dirty word but please don’t pooh pooh it! (Pun Intended) Babies and young children LOVE routine and rituals, babies love the safe and secure feeling it gives them to know what happens next. And to new parents it can help implement calm out of chaos to have a routine. Huh I here you say. It’s true I say. We’re not talking clock watching and strict schedules we're talking routines which give a gentle rhythm to our lives and help to keep our baby calm and settled. A newborn routine might be as simple as feed, (One hour) activity 5 mins (Could be chat and nappy change) cuddle, swaddle and settle for sleep. Hmm sleep. that's a whole new post
