21.01.2022 Hi, I’m Jen I’ve been asked a lot lately about my ‘WHY’ Why I do what I do, and Why I created BabyDink. So thought I’d pop on here and tell y’all a bit about myself.... First up this is not my baby!! **if your baby is near me there is a high chance I will swoop in to cuddle them!... My babies, Eloise and Finn are now 22 and 20! They are both apprentice carpenters [random] and they are very much my Why. I strive always to be a good role model for them, by following my dream Knowing they are proud of me is everything I raised El and Finn as a single mum, and the timing wasn’t ever right to take that big leap of faith with leaving my secure job and launching a business with no financial backing [business loans ] It took me almost half my life, to bring my passion project/obsession/design to the people. HOW IT BEGAN I was a young mum in Byron Bay..., Babywearing was HUGE there, but I was so frustrated with not getting the ‘wrapping right’ [loved the feeling of my wrap cuddles with El] and seeing so many badly fitting carriers [wtf] plastic clips in their beautiful faces, or lots of low dangly legs, and nothing that fitted a newborn I was driven to want to change the way people babywear and create a simple, and comfy design that you can’t get wrong! A TOP DECADE spent on Many trials, errors, fabric samples and the world of patenting and trademarking designs. Fast forward to 2018, and Eloise, Finn and I lost someone very special. I made this my mantra Make the most of this one precious life. Every. Day. I really try to and am glad my BabyDink patten and sample isn’t gathering dust on a shelf Here’s what I love to do when I’m not packing your orders, and running this global brand !! Yoga - the mat is my place to find my centre and stability. Beach nuf said ! Always thinking about food. I eat mostly plants! IN VIEW AT ALL TIMES You should be able to easily see your baby's face while glancing down. Be sure your baby's mouth and nose are never obstructed with fabric, your body or hair in their face CLOSE ENOUGH TO KISS Your baby's head needs to be as close to your chin as is comfortable KEEP CHIN OFF CHEST A baby should never be curled so their chin is forced onto their chest, as this can restrict their breathing.
