25.01.2022 To boldly go where no baby has been before! Space Week was a universe of fun and beneficial for our bubs! Eye tracking and teaming were developed further. New pathways were made in their brains with all the visual delights and the sounds of our new musical instruments, the tone bar and the wind chimes. New textures and all the reflections of lights and mirrors created a universe of stars for them to dream about. I hope they all had lovely naps dreaming of stars and teddy bears in space.

24.01.2022 Imaginative Play For Babies Imaginative play is so important for even the youngest of babies. Babies learn through listening and watching the important adults around them. It helps to develop thinking skills because it allows opportunities for trying new ideas and ways of thinking. It allows for language development and the inclusion of new words and more subtle social cues. It is also your babies first lesson in social interaction with others and the skills used when playing with others. Most importantly imaginative play is fun and a wonderful stress relief for you and your baby.

20.01.2022 We are excited to be supporting the Miracle Babies Foundation in March by running our very special Baby Sensory Superhero Senseathon in twelve selected Baby Sensory venues across Victoria. To raise extra funds for this very worthwhile not for profit organisation we will be running a raffle across all participating venues and we are looking for businesses across our State who would like to contribute high quality goods and services. If you know a great business please tag them...! And if you are a local business reading this and would like to contribute please message us with a photo of your donation, your facebook page and the worth of your donation. We will tag you on social media and mention you lots of times throughout our charity event promotions. Thank you so much for helping us to raise our Victorian Baby Sensory Goal of $5000.

19.01.2022 Why did Baby Sensory choose to support Miracle Babies Foundation? This not for profit organisation is close to our hearts as we have so many babies who have spent time in neonatal care attend our classes each year. We are always blown away by how much they develop during their first twelve months. A fundamental element of Baby Sensory classes is brain development and these Superhero babies can sometimes need that little bit of extra help which is where we come in. Being able to support and reassure these families is so important to us and we absolutely love watching them grow.

19.01.2022 If your little one has a beloved teddy, blanket, dummy or random object that they adore please feel free to bring along this week for the cuddle-a-thon that Baby Valentines is.

17.01.2022 All the colours of the rainbow. Colour was a huge part of this weeks session and here is why. Your baby was born with the ability to see colour but their visual system is immature and as a result their vision is not very clear. This is why they love bright colours, they are able to focus and will enjoy watching colours move. This will help to develop their focus with concentration and eye tracking and teaming. By 8 months old most babies will have 20/30 vision; which is ...nearly as good as an adult. Specialists suggest that the first year of a baby’s eye and brain development is incredibly important. This is why it is so important to expose your baby to as many colours as possible. One simple way of developing your babies eye and brain development at home is with coloured balls, feathers and chiffon scarves and encourage them to interact and play. It was so much fun watching all the babies enjoy a riot of colour in their own way this week.

12.01.2022 This week we took the babies back to the 1950s with Rock and Roll Week. We had fun and games with the baby bop, bean bag shake and Walk, walk, walk. The whole session was designed to help develop your baby’s vision, balance, body awareness shoulder and neck strength and to develop more brain connections with the playing of music. It was also designed to be a lot of fun and allow you and you baby to release any tension. It also provided the opportunity for your Bub to obser...ve and learn from you working as part of a team. Next week is Beach Week and full of sights to delight and textures to enjoy.
