23.01.2022 Given our new term commences next week, we thought it was timely to introduce our signature song for new parents (and a reminder for those returning parents.) We start every Baby Sensory class with this song, alongside some signing actions. Babies soon learn that the song signals the start of a wonderful session ahead. 'Say hello to the sun, shining down on me, I love the sun, because the sun warms me... Say hello to the moon, beaming down on me, I love the moon, because the moon guides me Say hello to the corn, growing strong for me, I love the corn, because the corn feeds me Say hello to the stars, shining down on me, I love the stars because the stars see me Say hello to the rain, falling down on me, I love the rain, because the rain cools me Say hello to the flowers, bright colours for me, I love the flowers, because they gladden me Say hello to my friends, playing games with me, I love my friends, because my friends love me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjpzpAHoAVg

16.01.2022 Friday FAQ's: A commonly asked question is What if my baby falls asleep during class?" Answer: Some parents worry about their baby falling asleep during class. With many babies attending from 2, 3 or 4 weeks old this naturally happens as babies this age do sleep a lot when they are so tiny. However do not panic or worry that they are not learning from the activities, they are still learning passively by hearing all the different types of music we play which helps us to communicate thoughts, ideas and emotions in ways that no other stimulus can. It offers a whole range of other benefits too, from pain and stress management to improved motor and rhythmic coordination. It also contributes unequivocally to the positive development of the human brain.

15.01.2022 Our new term launches this Wednesday, and so it feels like an apt time to introduce our new Monday social media segment "Sneak a Peek - Theme for the week" which kind of speaks for itself (we hope!) Our first class is entitled General Development and is a great opener for the term. The class features an array of activities from a puppet show (with some special guests), singing, playing instruments, a little baby massage, and a fun game with a parachute. So much fun for parents and babies alike.

11.01.2022 Bonding with your baby At Baby Sensory we make every effort to nurture the relationship between you and your baby. We provide a warm, safe and comfortable environment, and a range of activities that will help the bond grow and develop. We understand and respect that each parent and each baby has their own natural rhythm and preferences. "When the mother draws the baby towards her body, two hearts beat together. Such loving interaction brings the parent into synchrony with the baby. The baby feels the reassurance of the mother's loving arms, hears her heartbeat and the rhythm of her chest with each breath. Nothing surpasses the warm radiance that spreads over mother and baby as they gently rock in complete harmony with each other" - Dr Lin Day
