14.01.2022 We all get parenting advice from friends and family. Some of it is great, some unhelpful and some is downright dangerous. ** Here’s the lowdown on rear-facing and forward-facing car seats. Rear facing until the must turn marker means your child is subjected to less force in an accident as the geometry of the seat and fitting allow the seat to take more of the force load and the effect is dissipated throughout the seat and child’s whole body (kind of like a pebble in water...), forward facing kids move with the force load and this is centralised at the head and neck area. ********* Are they uncomfortable? Then get an experienced professional to look at the child in the seat - maybe the straps are too low.. maybe the crotch buckle needs adjustment, maybe the infant padding is still in... maybe they can’t see you, or maybe they’re bored.... we can work through all the possibilities with you to help make life easier but keep kids safe.
