18.01.2022 Imagine if the government gave you a Baby carrier! Surely NZ will be doing this soon? Hopefully Chile are gathering data on the changes it brings so that other countries will follow.

17.01.2022 If you know anyone who is pregnant or has a baby or toddler, please share this with them. We would love to see some new faces.

17.01.2022 Sometimes a few centimeters is the secret to no more back pain! Check out the comments for a top tip to get the chest clip in the right place for those of us wi...th T-Rex arms! Share yours if you have one! A side by side image illustrates chest clip positioning in a SSC. In the image on the left, the chest clip of the grey carrier is at the base of her neck. There is an X to indicate this isn’t ideal. On the right the chest clip is positioned across her shoulder blades with a tick to indicate this is better. The model has brown skin and dark hair. She is wearing a shirt with a round purple logo and text that reads food spoils, babies don’t #wearallthebabies

16.01.2022 Here is a good intro to baby wearing in a podcast

16.01.2022 At Carry Australia, we teach some very simple guidelines to make babywearing as safe as possible. Ensure your baby is visible and kissable. Wear baby in an u...pright position Keep baby’s chin off their chest Ensure baby’s face is free of coverings, not pressed against the caregiver’s body, and easy to view Baby’s back should be supported Wear baby high enough so that you can easily bend your neck to kiss baby’s head. If you are unsure or uncomfortable, please come to a sling meet or find a local consultant.

12.01.2022 For every carrier sold they are donating one to a Babywearing group library. We have applied to receive one, fingers crossed, it would be great to get an Explore, that’s the one that can do a forward facing carry. We already have a Tula Free to Grow in the library if anyone wants to try before you buy.

02.01.2022 This tip is just what I’ve been needing! Although seat popping is settling down now bub is getting older. It seemed to peak around 5-9 months for us. Merry Christmas!

02.01.2022 We still don’t have a date to return to regular meets for Babywearing support. I have managed to get Bush Playgroup running again weekly on a Tuesday though, so if you are looking for Babywearing help or want to try any carriers from our Library, just send me a message and I can bring what you need to a Bush Playgroup session. Babies and children of all ages are welcome, as well as other support people. If Tuesdays don’t work for you, I am able to meet other times by arrangement for one on one support.

01.01.2022 We are very lucky to have a great library of baby carriers in Maryborough thanks to the dedicated work of volunteer peer educators who have built it up over the years. As well as our monthly meets you can contact us anytime to get support with all things to do with baby carriers.

01.01.2022 Here is the science behind Babywearing. We instinctively know it’s good for carer and baby, but there is also evidence to back it up.
