18.01.2022 The M position is best always used as preventive strategy in ensuring a baby's hips are developing as optimally as possible. Healthy Hips Australia says: "Babywearing is recommended in countries where access to adequate screening and treatment is limited as the correct M position is a healthy hip position. In Australia access to specialist orthopaedic services normally isn't problematic, especially in the metropolitan areas, however we now find ourselves in unprecedented times due to Corona Virus. Whilst baby wearing doesn't eliminate the need for treatment for hip dysplasia, correct wearing of your baby with their legs in the M position does encourage healthy hip development. 11.01.2022 New parents are often instilled with so much fear around 'spoiling' and 'creating bad habits' if they carry their baby too much or give them too much attention. But you simply can't love your baby too much! No one has ever said they regret cuddling their baby so much. Providing a strong attachment and foundation enables your child to develop independence in their own time in a healthy and natural way. Our children are meant to depend on us, it's normal infant behaviour. Foster that, you're doing an amazing job!
