08.01.2022 RSL Victoria The Shrine of Remembrance is sacred, it is not a place of protest. It is RSL Victoria’s position that Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance is a sacred place, of critical importance to the current and ex-service members of our community, for commemorating service and for the remembrance of those who have died performing their patriotic duty. ... Under no circumstances, ever, should the Shrine be a place of protest.

05.01.2022 ONLINE EVENT - Join us on Tuesday, August 18 online to commemorate Vietnam Veterans Day, marking the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan (1966), where D Company 6 Royal Australian Regiment (6RAR) fought a fierce battle against North Vietnamese and Viet Cong troops close to the village of Long Tan. In 1969, 6RAR veterans held a memorial service there and, over time, the date became synonymous with all those who served in Vietnam, until 1987 when Prime Minister Bob Hawke officially declared Long Tan Day as Vietnam Veterans Day. 03.01.2022 How will you light up the dawn this year? The choice is yours commemorate our veterans with a traditional Dawn Service at your local cenotaph, or honour them from home at 6am.

02.01.2022 A reminder: To honour the incredible men and women who served in World War Two, we have created a limited edition commemorative badge set, only 1000 of these ha...ve been made. We can't mark the 75th anniversary of the end of World War Two with our traditional commemoration, but there are many ways that we can show our veteran community that we thank them for their service. Do you have someone special who would appreciate such a significant and heartfelt gift? Show you support by purchasing a commemorative badge set here https://bit.ly/3i2b0JF and help the RSL to deliver services to veterans and their families when they need our help the most. #VPDay75
