12.01.2022 *Long post alert* What a year! Starting a social night when I was 4 months’ pregnant and continuing to run it through the pregnancy, having Bub and the first 6 months of his life was no mean feat!!! An accomplishment we could only have achieved as a team. Big thanks first of all to my partner and best friend, Shahar Hashai who has always been the visionary in this relationship and whose idea it was in the first place. He has been the driving force behind Bachata Cal...iente Thursdays. But we couldn’t have done this without our crew - Ashley Coleman, Ksusha, Ivona, and Erica La Lokita. And team members of earlier days - Carmelo, Ezzy, Osmond York Julez Kan Allira AL Jay Bandalan Deon, Deb and Frank Torcasio. Thanks for helping us create that warm, welcoming, family feeling every Thursday night. We have seen you all come a long way with your Bachata and have loved being part of your growth and progress. Special shout out to Manuel Alejandro for being with us in our earlier days and Ernesto Diaz for being our guest instructor the last couple of months - I started learning Bachata with these guys way back when so working with them on this was awesome. We’d also like to thank the staff at The Eureka Hotel who have made running Caliente a very pleasant and easy experience. We look forward to seeing you guys again when the renovations are finished! Last, but not least we’d want to give a BIG thanks to everyone who has come through the doors, whether as a student or a social dancer.
