21.01.2022 It's raining! Not a lot but it's certainly cooled the area down and the wildlife are going to be loving the rain - BUT - this will bring the wildlife closer to... the roads as the roadsides are great places for puddles to form. Take it easy driving and keep an eye open for wildlife coming closer to the roads in search of water. Thank you again Sue for the reminder! If you find any injured or orphaned wildlife ring Help For Wildlife on 0417380687 I can't take credit for this photo and unfortunately I don't know who's photo it is to give credit either.

05.01.2022 ************PLEDGE WINDOW HAS NOW CLOSED************ Apart from those people that have already contacted me to donate an item &... are sending across the details, I now need to close the album as I have been overwhelmed with the response & we have so many amazing items for the auction. It doesn't mean that another one cannot be run again in the future though...& perhaps I could give you all some advance notice the next time! TO PLACE A BID, PLEASE JUST ADD A COMMENT TO THE PHOTO, REMEMBER TO LIST COMMENTS 'MOST RECENT' FIRST SO THAT YOU CAN SEE THE LATEST, HIGHEST BID...THANK YOU! Welcome to the auction album to help raise funds to bring 4 beautiful lions to their forever home after a lifetime of abuse at the hands of mankind, simply for our own entertainment. Five Sisters Zoo in West Lothian, Scotland has launched an urgent appeal to rescue & re-home 4 ex-circus male lions from an uncertain future. It aims to raise 150,000 for their new home over the next six months. The lions were finally seized by Belgian officials in May because the country's law forbids wild animals in circuses. They have been living at a Belgian rescue centre ever since but a permanent new home is needed for them. Last year I portrayed 8 very special bears through my artwork & one of these bears was Carmen, an ex-circus bear from Europe. Carmen was one of 3 bears that Five Sisters successfully ran a similar campaign to raise funds for in 2011, to build their enclosure & secure their safety, freedom & ensure their happy ever afters. You can follow the story of our 4 lions here on the official website where you can also find videos of their rescue & also the start of their rehabilitation http://www.fivesisterszoo.co.uk/ & more updates can be found here on the official FB page https://www.facebook.com/fivesisterszoo Please join me in this auction of everything linked to Big Cats depicted through artwork, photography, sculpture, crafts etc. You can help by donating, bidding or simply sharing the link to the event here https://www.facebook.com/events/706655712736592/ or this album, encouraging others to do the same. If you know any artists or craftspersons perhaps you could message them to ask if they would like to donate a lot to the auction. Every little adds up to a great thing with an auction like this. To donate, please private message me through my art page or comment below. If this one is successful I will run another auction in the New Year, a more generalist one to help you dispose of any unwanted Christmas gifts perhaps? Thank you in advance to all of you. Let's make this a Roaring success!!!

If you have any you'd like to share, you can post them in comments :)
