08.01.2022 Our beautiful goddaughter, Jessica, has suggested that for those of you who are particularly keen on cooking and flowers, that I should have a regular twice weekly post, celebrating food and flowers. So I'm going with Monday Munchies and Flower Fridays. For as long as I can remember, one of the daily conversations at work would be about who was cooking what for dinner. I learned so much from this. If you love to cook, but run out of ideas, then I'm hoping that this segment... will be something you might like to keep in mind & perhaps inspire you. Even if you find cooking a necessary chore, I think you'll find many of these tolerable, as well as tasty. Many of the recipes I cook are easy - I love my slow cooker - and most can be gussied up to look quite flashy too. I've just popped up a recipe for Rosemary and Honey Lamb Shanks, which belongs to my sister, Jillian. (thanks Mars - pics are great and recipe is even better) backtothebush.net.au As for flowers - well I adore them and find them endlessly fascinating. I always have flowers in the house & for me they combine part of the welcome to a home - that and the smell of a nice meal simmering along. Love to hear your feedback too!
