24.01.2022 Join Us For One Last Drink! It is with great disappointment and sadness that we announce that Back Bar will be closing on Saturday 25th August. After 16 years we have come to the end of our lease and unfortunately were unable to secure a new tenable long-term lease with our landlord. We therefore made the difficult decision to close.... Until then it will be business as usual so we hope that you will come and join us for one last drink, one last hoorah and help us to celebrate our fabulous Back Bar and 16 years of shaking cocktails and hosting functions! Although the Back Bar premises will be closing, we are pleased to say that the Back Bar team will continue to host our very popular Cocktail Making Classes at a number of other venues around the Prahran and Windsor area - so we are still taking bookings for this fun activity by email on [email protected]. We are also currently searching for new premises and hope to be able to announce something in the coming weeks on our new location. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates. To all those who have supported us over the last 16 years, held events with us or enjoyed a cocktail or two, thank you for sharing so many of your special moments with us and we hope to see you for one last drink before we close! We are now operating Mofo & Morocco Lounge which is a function venue located on Greville St in Prahran, just around the corner from the old Back Bar location. Mofo & Morocco Lounge has 2 function spaces of similar size to Back Bar, with Morocco Lounge being located on the first floor (capacity 115 guests) and Mofo Lounge on the ground floor (capacity 35 guests). The venue's decor is visually stunning fitted o...ut with a Moroccan inspiration of day beds, ottomans, gilded mirrors and lanterns. At Mofo & Morocco Lounge we offer private function bookings for any occasion. Whether it be for a birthday, engagement, wedding, corporate, hens or some other special event. We are also continuing to offer our hens packages and famous Cocktail Making Classes which were a big hit at Back Bar. These are a fun group activity for a hens, birthday or corporate team building event. You'll find Back Bar's manager (Sam) running the venue with the same great service, friendliness and attention to detail that we were known for at Back Bar. We are mainly trading as a function venue however on occasion you will find Mofo Lounge open to the public when we don't have an event booked in. On these nights we have an extensive cocktail list on offer with many of the old Back Bar cocktail favourites included on the menu. Couches, coffee tables, lamps, mirrors, pictures....many items are for sale! You can inspect during our opening hours this week then register your interest and make an offer on any item by email to [email protected].
