25.01.2022 Were back!Online classes were fun, but boy are we excited to get back into the room with young creatives doing what we do best: making performance! We offer three Drama Classes on a Saturday for your young one! CLASS ONE for ages 6-9, where we will be learning about story telling by using fairy tales, fables, and their own stories. CLASS TWO for primary aged students (10-13 years) where we will be learning how to stage scenes from a play.... CLASS THREE for high school aged students (14-17 years), who will be creating new devised work based on an existing play. 21.01.2022 The reviews of Absolute Objectivity are in! And thanks to welcomed changes in covid capacity, bonus single tickets are ON SALE NOW! You need to get on it, but don’t just take our word for it, Lauren from Nothing Ever Happens In Brisbane says: Absolute Objectivity is nothing like I have ever seen before. It is the most fun I have ever had at a musical. I will be going to see it again...... What I loved most about this show was the playfulness between the audience and the actors. In my experience, musicals have been seized by the upper class and made into private showings of immaculately rehearsed, polished works of high culture where audiences sit neatly in a darkened room and all the action happens on stage. By contrast, Absolute Objectivity is messy, ludicrous, and full of life. You can see Absolute Objectivity for two more weekends starting tonight! 19, 20, 21, 22 November and 27 and 28 November. We want to make sure that our facilities are open and available to independent artists that experience barriers to creating and sharing work due to limited access to arts venues with disability access. Thanks to support we received from our community, Gambling Community Benefit Fund, Arts Queensland, Brisbane City Council's Access and Inclusion Fund, Studio Apparatus and the Quinn Family, The little Bowlo that could has got what you need, and we want to share it and your work with as many people as possible. Choreographed by Nerida Matthaei, the work focusses on themes of confinement, mental health and connectivity, drawn together in an intricate tessellation performed by 12 exceptional local dancers.
