24.01.2022 Annual testing of Backflow devices to AS2845-2010 is important as these pictures show. Although one check passed the test inspection of the device revealed its true condition. This device was replaced with a new RPZ at a major shopping centre in NSW by one of our members

02.01.2022 Recently at the World Plumbing Conference held in Melbourne the BPAA had four International Backflow prevention subject matter experts to discuss this and provide their insight as to how it can be prevented and how the water supplier can prepare themselves for similar incidents. Keynote speakers: Richard Aitken, Paul Daley, Stephen Jennison and Robert Knowles A workshop on how to introduce and manage a backflow prevention policy, Cross Connection Control Program for water suppliers, Regulators and large water using sites like hospitals and universities was also discussed. This was chaired by our BPAA National President Peter McLennan.
