25.01.2022 We've had some new equipment installed in our purple room. Now the guitar amps and speakers are almost perfectly matched. Future improvements are in the works.

16.01.2022 What type of band needs 5 mics to rehearse? The 11-piece type. ‘Soul Purpose’ joined in Melbourne over the weekend from all over including New Zealand, Sydney and Melb to play for a Waitangi Day gig. They managed to all fit in our purple room, which is a record for us. We supplied them with four Shure SM58 microphones for vocals and a Shure SM57 microphone for their wind instrument. Glad we could have you guys. @ Backline Studios

16.01.2022 During the morning and early afternoon the rooms can be used to record voice when a quiet and soundproofed space is needed. Its been good to open up the Orange Room to some podcasters after doing some extra work to treat the sound in the room. 15.01.2022 Ramping up the cleaning process. In between live stream sessions we’re cleaning and sanitising everything thoroughly in the rooms and all the equipment. People are itching to get back to normal rehearsals and the bands that have live streamed here are very happy to have had something similar to a gig after all this time off.

11.01.2022 We are continuing to open our doors and on top of normal general cleaning to do with provided equipment including mics and mixers touched frequently. We are now increasing our levels of cleaning with increased levels of disinfectant and will be swapping out microphones while each are cleaned outside of the studio rooms. We want to uphold the best levels of cleanliness which also means we are asking people that are attending the studios to also ensure they take care by not attending if they are sick, using soap while washing hands and coughing into elbow if they do happen to sneeze or cough. 07.01.2022 Winners of the 2015 Triple J’s Unearthed High, Mosquito Coast have just finished up their extended booking with us. Over from Perth they have spent many days of the last three weeks enjoying our rehearsal Green Room.
