17.01.2022 Dear past, present and future guests! Backpack OZ and the Guest House will remain open !!! We are still accepting new domestic bookings only. As hostel accommodation, we are in a unique situation, but after expert advice from S.A health and the Australian Government, the hostels will remain open. ... In these uncertain times, we wanted to reach out to you about what we are doing here at Backpack OZ and the Guest House to support you and your travel plans. As the situation around novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we are doing everything we can to ensure your maximum travel safety and protection. . Your Travel Safety The safety and security of our guests and team members remains our highest priority. We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. In response to the coronavirus, we have taken additional measures to clean our accommodation, facilities, amenities and common areas. Our teams are receiving daily updates and enhanced operating protocols. We have increased the frequency of cleaning our public areas (including accommodation, reception, facilities, amenities, kitchens, door handles etc and have continued use of hospital grade disinfectant.) As both hostels total full capacity is only 98 guests, there is no issue with the ban of more than 100 people in non-essential gatherings. If any of our staff or guests come into contact with the virus, or show any symptoms, they will seek the appropriate medical advice and will self isolate away from the hostels for the recommended period of time. At this time we are not accepting any bookings from new arrivals from overseas for at least the next 30 days. Backpack OZ and the Guest House is a family owned and operated business of 20 years, and we purchase from many other local business's and suppliers who help us make us who we are.
