03.01.2022 Thanks to those that copped from Drop 8, always grateful - Lately we’ve had a few msgs from people interested in starting a vintage business because it looks like a lot of fun and they assume you kill it 247. Although our reply is always super positive and we’re still learning ourselves, this isnt always the case - There’s alot more that goes into running a vintage/clothing business than just slapping tees up on the website and moola rolls in... - Drop 8 was our slowest yet in terms of sales for us. Every drop up until now we have sold over 50% within the first 2hours and majority within a day or two - No we’re not naivelow sales/slow days is a reality we have always been prepared for - Saying that, sales is super important. Cashhflow is oxygen needed for your business to survive - This isn’t the only important factor to us though - One we are passionate about vintage and two we use Backtoback as a vehicle to learn and develop new skills from running a business like handling cashflow/budgets, stock/int’l suppliers, taxes, marketing, website building, photography etc - We both love a challenge and enjoy problem solving. We believe the biggest growth comes from being in uncomfortable situations, and drop 8 was a lil uncomfy - Theres levels to vintage, and its dependant on your knowlege to what a vintage tee can mean to you and/or what vintage vibe you like - If we go off data our demographics favourite is US sports/ College. This drop we decided to test the waters and try add abit of variety like Harley, NASCAR etc - Few adjustments/improvements needed then will be set for Drop 9 - We wanted to be super transparent with ya’ll, everyone loves to show the highs but the lows are just as important.
