16.01.2022 Have you heard the theory that "sitting is the new smoking". More or less what we are trying to say is that uninterrupted sitting for long hours is bad for your health. We recommend getting up every hour for a 5 minute walk. You will find it refreshes you and hopefully helps with your productivity at work. Still sitting down? We suggest you get up!
16.01.2022 "Site of pain is not always the cause of pain" A patient comes in complaining of low back pain and after analysis the Quadriceps (Quad) muscle turns out to be the problem! But the PAIN is in my BACK? How? The Quad muscle is an important muscle involved mainly in knee extension. It is a shock absorber and is responsible for acceleration and deceleration.... Tightness in the Quad can lead to anterior hip tilt (sway back) which in turn can affect the lower back adding extra strain. The image illustrates an effective quad stretch thatll keep the muscle relaxed and hence reduce lower back pain. Repeat the stretch 5 times on each leg holding for 15-30sec and repeat a few times a day.
