25.01.2022 I never posted a pic of our map of the lap! Enough gaps to drive a girl mad Sooooo much more to do! But not a bad start

24.01.2022 THE FARM, Byron Bay We love this place. This time we had the fortune of being able to collect and crack a mountain of macadamia nuts in their fields which was great fun. Kai loved all the animals as usual!!!

24.01.2022 Chose his own outfit today #cowboy #cutie

21.01.2022 SWIMCART BEACH, TAS BEST FREECAMP IN......AUSTRALIA?! I think it could take the prize!!!! Literally camped beside the most beautiful beach, nothing out the windows except sand and ocean in all directions, absolute bliss! Just 10 min down the road in St Helens is all the facilities you could possibly need including fresh water fills, dump point, laundry and the best cafe ever Life Buoy Cafe! We ended up eating 2 meals a day there it was so cheap and so delicious I highly recom...mend it! They also told us about the Break O Day Family centre down the road which is basically the most massive amazing day care centre you could imagine except you go their with your kids rather than drop them off. Kai had a ball with his friend Sophie. Another highlight of Swimcart was meeting up with our friends from Holland, Sim and Sophie, who we last saw in outback WA at Nananderra Roadhouse! Amazing how you can end up at the same place by accident 4 months later! A great reunion and much food and drink were enjoyed. See more

21.01.2022 OLD MACS FARM, TAS We were so happy to head back to Old Macs Farm in Launceston. Such a peaceful chilled out vibe. This time Kai and I had to try to on-site cafe while Daddy washed the van, and feed alllll the animals. Such a wonderful place to stay, do not miss it if you’re in Tassie.

20.01.2022 Look out Sydney!!! We are BAAAAAAACK!!!!!! So much to say about our incredible trip and so much to share about how it has totally changed our lives on every level. But for now we are quietly celebrating our achievement, glad to be home safe with family and settling into a little home. Our hearts are with friends and family struggling with the weight of uncertainty of life in this strange new world and the travelling families that have had to put their dream of travelling Australia on hold. We can’t wait to share more of our trip with you all but for now we just wanted to share that we are HOME

19.01.2022 CATARACT GORGE, TAS Well we are totally over the rain. Our plan was to hit the east coast but with rain predicted for a week we figured there was no point. Checked the weather and sun in Launceston! So we jumped in the car and headed 3 hours north and BOY were we glad we did. Got a great spot at Old Macs Farm and soaked up some long forgotten rays of sunlight. It was blissful. Old Macs is super relaxed and we loved it there. Cataract Gorge is a must visit in Lonnie, the chair ride across the gorge was beautiful and Kai managed to drag Kai in the icy pool for a swim! I was happy to watch. Safe to say I won’t be getting wet in Tassie! We had a YUM picnic under the shade of a tree. It’s so hard to believe you are literally right in the middle of the city here!!! What an incredible place.

17.01.2022 BAY OF FIRES, TAS I’ll let the photos speak for themselves....

14.01.2022 Travelling family kids are just the best

13.01.2022 MELBOURNE, VIC We had an amazing day exploring the gorgeous city of Melbourne. Really love this city. We caught the tram and then walked and walked seeing all the usual sites and stuffing our faces with food in all my favourite laneway eateries. Kai had a rest time at the Artplay Installation - making colours and patterns appear by shifting boxes around the room. P.S. I’m late on my posts (as usual) - we were there before the corona virus started to spread so don’t worry we aren’t dragging germs up the east coast!

13.01.2022 BONE BROTH Well while we are locked down I may as well share some naturopathic health tips for keeping you and your family healthy! Look at this stunning bone broth!!! Gut healing and hence immune supporting. Did you know most of your immune tissue is in your gut? So if you have gut issues now is the perfect time to address them. ... A daily cup of bone broth or 3 x a day if you can keep up the supply! Try and source grass fed bones and make sure you have marrow and some cartilage bones in there to get the healing powers of gelatine. True liquid gold!!!!

12.01.2022 SPIRIT OF TASSIE! Sadly leaving Tassie behind but we had a great time on the Spirit of Tassie. OMG the buffet was sooooo good and we aren’t usually buffet lovers. Kai enjoyed the live music and kids activities and then it was off to bed for another totally smooth sail. So lucky!!! Parked up at Discovery Parks in the morning and had all my washing and grocery shopping done by 8am. Winning!!!

12.01.2022 CAPE HAUY TRACK, TAS OMG what a walk!!!! This one was a hard one! Sooooo many stairs up and down up and down over and over again. It was PISSING down raining when I set out and didn’t let up the entire walk hahaha. First hike I have done in complete rain!!! For much of the track it was so misty I had no bearings at all, I figured I was near the ocean but I could see nothing but white. But the challenges made for great comraderie on the track and I really enjoyed this hike and... the absolutely spectacular finishing point at Cape Hauy. Can you believe people CLIMB these rocks?! Including the candlestick in the middle? Totally nuts!!!! The weather also gave the walk a beautiful mystical feel especially when you caught glimpses of the track ahead meandering up the hills through the mist. The photos really don’t do it justice! We based ourselves at Fortescue Bay a lovely campsite in the National Park. See more

11.01.2022 ‘What do you mean I’m not an only child anymore??!!’ We are thrilled to share we have another one to love..... Baby Sadat #2 coming April 2021!!!

10.01.2022 MORNINGTON PENINSULA, VIC Ah the lovely Mornington Peninsula. We were camped on a gorgeous beach with all the lovely boathouses. The camps along here are all a bit derelict with lots of shabby permanents with surprised me for such a beautiful location. Enjoyed exploring the Fort again and imagining what it might have been like for those men in WW2. A lovely breakfast in Sorrento and we were back on our way up the coast again!

09.01.2022 PHILLIP ISLAND, VIC In the interest of completion I thought I better finish the posts from our lap lol. We had a great time at Phillip Island. Naim got to watch the World Super Bike Championships which was a complete coincidence of timing. Kai and I spent the day checking out the penguins and the Antarctic Centre which was AWESOME. Highly recommend it we spent ages there the displays were really interactive with our favourite being the virtual orca show!

09.01.2022 FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK, TAS Beauty ++++!!!! And we got sunshine! Our detour to Launceston was worth it and Freycinet was worth the wait! Honeymoon Bay lookout is stunning - piked on the circuit walk due to being a bit hiked out at the moment, but still beautiful to see from a distance. The landscape is spectacular, gorgeous mountain ranges and turquoise water that took us straight back to WA. The water temp was nowhere near though and sadly there was no swimming for us! Again, still beautiful to look at.

07.01.2022 UMINA BEACH We’ve had a couple of relaxing days recharging up at Umina Beach. The weather today was just gorgeous. I even got a tiny bit burnt! We’ve just hung out at the van doing not much at all but that’s exactly what we like to do these days! And when there a park, jumping pillows, cafe, swimming pools and water parks there’s not really much point leaving except for long walks on the beach.

07.01.2022 GRAND CANYON TRACK, BLUE MOUNTAINS, NSW I desperately needed to hit the trails and hubby gave me a free pass so off to the Blue Mountains I headed. I love hiking so damn much and with the exception of a couple of bush walks I haven’t had a decent hike in months. ... The Grand Canyon Track delivered. Starting with incredible views from Evans Lookout the track descends into a canyon and enters a fairy land of grottos, lush ferns, waterfalls and trickling water everywhere. Most of the walk is through the canyon and it’s truly lush. The photos really can’t do it justice it’s a pretty magical walk. 6km and VERY steep up and down (think one million stairs) they suggest 4hrs. I smashed it out in 1hr 45min with plenty of photo stops. Recommend hiking poles if you have dodgy knees like me!

07.01.2022 MUDGEE Not too much travelling happening at the moment. But I thought I’d update our page with the mini breaks we can manage in these covid times. We keep our horses out at mudgee and have been missing them hugely. Had a lovely visit and left with full contented hearts. ... In the next week I will also be updating our page with the posts that didn’t make it on due to the covid craziness in Feb and March. Stay safe and well everyone

06.01.2022 TAMAR VALLEY, TAS Gosh what a stunning valley! So many little wineries overlooking the Tamar River. Unfortunately Kai got car sick and was a subtle shade of grey so we didn’t see too much but we did manage to take him to his first Polo X match which of course he loved! And we picked dozens and dozen of fresh blackberries which are everywhere in Tassie.

05.01.2022 FRIENDLY BEACHES, TAS The name doesn’t lie! Super friendly and we got a knockout site. Only a tiny ocean view but super sheltered from the wind. The beach is just so so so beautiful. We loved Coles Bay - great ice cream and fish and chip shop - and we had the best food of our entire tassie experience at Devils Corner Winery. Insane mussels, delicious pizza, great coffee and perfectly paired drinks. It was a highlight of our time there.

03.01.2022 LAUNCESTON, TAS These shots are all taken in City Park. An absolutely stunning park with a playground, miniature train ride and MONKEYS! Absolutely loved Launceston. A stunning city
