25.01.2022 Higher pain thresholds connected to posture? Researches from Canada and Southern California have found that adopting dominant (power) postures led to a higher tolerance of pain. https://www.sciencedirect.com///abs/pii/S0022103111001612#!
25.01.2022 Manual handling training with biofeedback was "strictly superior" than safe lifting training (without biofeedback) in reducing spine motion during lifting tasks in this Canadian study: "Twenty-six untrained participants were randomly assigned to safe lifting training (DID) or manual handling training with biofeedback (AUG). All participants underwent a lifting test (box, medication bag, and backboard) prior to group allocation; immediately after training; and one-week later, ...while spine kinematics were quantified. Intervention involved 50 practice lifts Utilising the relevant training. AUG was strictly superior to DID in reducing spine motion in the retention task but was equivalent or superior for the transfer tasks. An AUG approach to MR is supported over didactic approaches to elicit lasting changes in practiced tasks, but more training is likely required to ensure transfer to unrehearsed tasks." See more
