25.01.2022 Some nice colours are coming through in my kings

25.01.2022 That time of year again, bobwhite's are just about ready to start laying again. Time to get them ready for another great season coming up

25.01.2022 My incubator is full. New bloodlines for my king quails and 54 jumbo/ goliath eggs. 18 days to go crossing fingers for a great hatch.

25.01.2022 It has been a long time since i hatched these little guys, Jumbo/Goliath Japanese (Coturnix) quails. So come August-September I will be back into full time breeding. The next few months I will be working on bloodlines and setting up breeding stock.

23.01.2022 A little help from little red to keep some bobwhite chicks alive after power went out. Such a sweet little girl, but as 1 photo shows, don't touch her babies

21.01.2022 Second half of cage almost complete. Frame and roof on now. Just got the mesh and planting and I will be done. I'm just loving this home schooling with two kids to help. Made it go twice as fast

20.01.2022 A little bit of love goes a long way. Little Red looking after 6 babies. So proud of her

20.01.2022 Hi all, Due to the COVID-19 I will not be selling or moving any birds until things settle down. I will still be breeding birds and hope by the new season things have settled to start sell again. Please all stay safe and healthy.

17.01.2022 Only about 6 weeks to go until I will be breeding Jumbo's and Goliath Japanese quails again. New breeders growing up fast

16.01.2022 Colours are looking great for the new season. Just 4 months to go

15.01.2022 Trying to get photo's of my kings for their watch me grow profile. Just didn't work out the best with 36 chicks going in different directions time to go back to the brooder.

14.01.2022 The other half of my cage is complete. Found some nice lettuce at shops today, still with the roots. Now I need the other side cage made up the same.

14.01.2022 I have been waiting over 2 years for our cockatiels to start laying eggs with no luck. 1 month ago I moved them into an aviary with my older king quails. Now i have 3 pairs of cockatiels laying eggs with my king quails on the ground. So now king eggs are in the incubator and cockatiel eggs are the only ones left in cage. Love my kings, but I do hope I get some cockatiel babies soon.

13.01.2022 Just about finished the new pen under my grow out cages. 2400x1200 will hold a few breeders for me. Next week I will get the other one done as well.

11.01.2022 At the end of yesterday I was looking at photo's 1 & 2. But today I went with photos 3 & 4. Slowly working on ramp and where plants will be. going to be a long week.

09.01.2022 Been flat out all week and have not got any more completed on my cage yet. But on the plus side, 52 out of 58 kings hatched today. Some many different colours.

05.01.2022 Just spent the day sexing king quails. As restrictions are being lifted on Friday night at midnight I will be back selling birds again.

04.01.2022 Well it looks a lot better at night watching the kings run around. Didn't think the solar light would work as well as it did.

03.01.2022 Had some problems sending king quail eggs by mail. So now I'm down to making a foam pocket to help stop eggs getting broken in mail. Crossing fingers this works.

01.01.2022 Out with the old and in with the new. This week I will be working on a new bobwhite cage. Taking an old double decker cage I was going to dump and turning it into something more suited for my bobwhite's. Crossing fingers it comes out ok.
