25.01.2022 Masks and checking in are now mandatory in all health settings including B Acupuncture. If you can bring your own mask to your appointment that would be great. I will have some here if you don’t. They do need to be surgical masks. Material masks are not suitable. Thanks B
25.01.2022 Winter was a time of hybernation. Spring marks the transition between the extremes of the Yin and Yang. This spring is proving to be a particularly tricky transition from the cold, dark, Yin winter months to the hot, bright, Yang summer season. The sun is peering through sporadically, warming the cold earth so mother nature can regain its flow. ... The season of growth and new beginnings welcomes you to take responsibility for your health and sow the seeds of change. When mother nature struggles to enter a new phase our bodys struggle too, finding it hard to keep up with the swinging weather conditions. Regain the balance in your life, and help your Qi flow in this turbulent period. ....

20.01.2022 Tongues tell so much. We use tongues in Chinese medicine to assist our diagnosis. The shape, colour, coat, veins communicate messages from your body. This is why we love your tongue so much and ask that you dont brush the evidence away. We use descriptive terminology like swollen, wet, pale, cracked and dry to support diagnostic patterns. As your health improves so will your tongue. You should love your tongue as much as we do. Let it show its true colours and dont brus...h the fuzz! Which tongue are you? ... See more

07.01.2022 This following Chinese proverb is the backbone of TCM and foundation for healing. "Tong Zhi Bu Tong, Bu Tong Zhi Tong" Where there is free flow, there is no pain, where there is pain there is no free flow. ....... Chicken or the egg? Illness causes stress and stress causes illness. Take control of what you can and your mind and body will follow. Take responsibility for your health and regain flow in your life. Among some of the things used to help with stress, acupuncture is one of them. Acupuncture treatements can be tailored specifically for people suffering from stress related symptoms. In this busy, modern world we need all the help we can get to deal with the stresses of life. Today is World Mental Health Day. What are you most stressed about today? ...
05.01.2022 COVID-19 RESPONSE Extending my thoughts to everyone affected by the COVID-19 circumstances. I am monitoring the situation closely ensuring that my priority remains with the well-being and safety of my patients, friends, family and the wider community. The clinic is still open, and I am taking precautionary measures to ensure all the usual safe hygiene and cleaning practices are followed. I will be maintaining the high level of hygiene that is already practised within the cl...inic; including sanitation of the area between patients, fresh linen and regular hand-washing. Hand sanitiser is available upon entering the waiting room. Feel free to wait for your appointment in the garden. I have completed the Australian Government Department of Health, Infection Control Training COVID-19. Unfortunately, I will not be offering my services to those experiencing any symptoms associated with the virus (these are listed below or have had contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19. These patients are advised to see their GP (phone ahead to let them know you have symptoms) and self-isolate according to Government policy. Fever Flu-like symptoms (coughing, sore throat, fatigue) Shortness of breath. All cancellation fees during this period will be waived. I am following the Australian Governments announcement and Prime Ministers confirmation that businesses providing essential services to the community (such as health care services) remain open for now. This is a complicated and evolving situation and I will keep you informed of any changes to my plans. Please be kind to each other and be safe.
