25.01.2022 My client Twilight Events in Melbourne is moving to sunny Mackay for a new life and hopefully exciting adventures in 2022 . Melbourne used to be part of their business name but I suggested to remove and not replace it with the new location so the name and concept become transportable and potentially transferrable. The logo files were redone to reflect the change and the business cards updated with a new verso as her product offering has changed slightly. 24.01.2022 A mysterious beautiful messy overgrown garden. One of my latest clients gave me a brief that was full of marvellous details so we embarked on a prolific design journey. This was one of the creations. Not ideal for a logo to tell you the truth. Way too many small elements that would get lost when the logo is displayed on a very small scale. Nevertheless, I love it as an illustration so here you go... for your eyes only. #badaboumdesign

So many diverse messages to spread across 2 very distinct audiences - potential employees on the one hand and prospective clients on the other. The messages, imagery and layouts are different and targeted towards the audience profile, however the brand and its elements remain consistent. #badaboumdesign

22.01.2022 Logo design for Lee Evans, Freelance writer. A mixed organic design of compass, wind rose, old fountain pen, true North and autumn colours. So much to pack into a small design...but we did it! Lee is a an eclectic copywriter/writer on a journey of writing her very first book (about our very own Geraldton history!) amidst her other varied writing projects. Lee assists businesses,brands, writers and authors to find their voice, tell their story and spread their message by usin...g copy that captures,enlightens, provokes and fascinates. I follow French fashion and in particular Caroll, a brand I actually wear. And today I completely fell in love at first sight with this colour combination because: yes I love elegant contrasts! and that mid season jumper is so pretty.

Be memorable visually by having a strong unique brand and by creating all your marketing collaterals using your brand elements, fonts and colours. Your designer should provide you with a style guide which is helpful in achieving that consistency. Be memorable in product and service quality. Having a beautifully crafted logo is not enough. Teri is a beautiful and fresh Geraldton photographer who loves lavender so much she has a tattoo of it on her arm And she has quite a few magnificent shots under her belt. I couldn't help but choose one of her photos for my post, the baby face close up. So absolutely adorable. It's all in the details.

These roses flower magnificently most year in Spring. Years pass, yet they stand strong and beautiful. I wish to be just like them.

05.01.2022 I am so thankful to be a busy creative bee again as a few months ago everything went really silent, forcing me to explore gaining work through a quoting platform. That proved to be a super initiative as I ended up working with lovely clients around Australia, sharing our experiences and feelings of what life was throwing at us with this pandemic. Back to the "now", I am currently serving the Geraldton business market 300% and loving being able to meet my clients and chat face... to face. Crossing my fingers this will last. 04.01.2022 Hello Refresh! Adios bright orange, hello copper. This is the new me, the new Badaboum Design. Grown up, still ex-centric and full of contrasts but in a more succinct manner.... In branding there are 2 ways of updating your logo. 1. a rebrand which is basically designing something completely different from the original logo. Usually this is because your business has undergone drastic change. 2. a refresh which is what I chose to do. The main elements of the original logo are retained but updated in shape and colours so the overall design becomes more relevant to your current market and your target audience. That way, your branding is still recognised by your existing clients whilst your positioning within the market is updated.
