25.01.2022 Bacon, eggs, pancakes, coffee....got your attention now? We’d love to see you at our Australia Day Community Breakfast

25.01.2022 An interesting post from CFA District 13 about the current situation we are in and your plans to burn-off. Please be extra careful, now more than ever!!

24.01.2022 Yesterday our brigade assisted Benalla Fire Brigade CFA and other local brigades complete a Fuel Reduction Burn along the entire stretch of Link Road in Benalla. As well as creating a fire break on the north side of town, the burn gave some of our newer member valuable experience leading into fire season.

23.01.2022 The CFA flag at half-mast this morning after the tragic news of the loss of two NSW firefighters and three more injured.

21.01.2022 Good rainfall this year has resulted in prolific grass growth that we have not seen for some years. With summer just around the corner, now is the time to prepare your property for the fire season. #cfavic #firebrigade #baddaginnie #benalla CFA (Country Fire Authority) Benalla Fire Brigade CFA Goomalibee upotipotpon cfa Benalla Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down

17.01.2022 Good Afternoon I'm Kelly Fraser and the new CFA Community Safety Officer for Baddaginnie. Over the next few weeks I'll be adding links, pages and info to this page to get us into the mind set for summer fire season and beyond. If you would like more on a particular post get in touch via FB page or messenger, I'm always keen to help :-) Lets look after each other at this present time!!! First I would like to introduce "SHOCKTOBER" an innovative that Ambulance Victoria has put out with regards to AEDs and SAM. below is a link: https://www.ambulance.vic.gov.au/shocktober.

17.01.2022 Goomalibee & Warrenbayne brigades joined us tonight for some draughting practice (filling the truck). It was great to meet up and chat with the neighbours without having to attend a fire! #firebrigade #firetruck #baddaginnie #goomalibee #warrenbayne #cfavic CFA (Country Fire Authority)

17.01.2022 A pleasant surprise this afternoon finding a donation of drinking water, food & other essentials at the Baddaginnie Fire Station. A huge thanks to the team at the Wangaratta Donation Point for organising these items to be delivered to local brigades. Over the past few weeks our members have been involved in the fires in Gippsland, Corryong, Carboor, Euroa, & Strathmerton.... Let’s hope for some milder weather for the rest of summer, stay safe everyone

15.01.2022 Fire Restrictions Fire restrictions have now been lifted throughout the Benalla Rural City Council area. Please read the media release below from CFA Operations Manager Colin Brown. Strathbogie Shire fire restrictions will be lifted on the 30th March

15.01.2022 Our thoughts are with the families, friends and colleagues of the four members of Victoria Police. RIP

14.01.2022 Awesome work Braeden, our parking area is looking great and we’re now ready for delivery of a storage container. Also, congratulations to you and Jess on yesterday’s fantastic news

13.01.2022 A perfect job for this freezing cold day. Good one CFA (Country Fire Authority)!!

11.01.2022 Members from Baddaginnie Fire Brigade continue to provide support to the firefighting effort in NSW. So far 5 of our volunteers have taken time away from work, farms and families to take part in deployments to various parts of NSW. A huge thanks to those members and to those that remain to protect our local community CFA (Country Fire Authority)

11.01.2022 Saturday 22nd February 2:42pm Both our tankers responded to a grass and scrub fire at Escreet Road Warrenbayne. 10 local brigades assisted by aircraft, heavy plant , HVP and Forest Fire Management Victoria were able to keep the fire to 4 hectares in challenging terrain. Our tanker 1 was one of the last to leave the scene, returning to Baddaginnie around midnight. ... 10.01.2022 Monday 9 December 2019 has been declared a day of Total Fire Ban for Mallee, Wimmera & Northern Country. This includes the Shire of Strathbogie (part of our brigade area).

10.01.2022 Take care in the heat today folks. Our members are on a high level of readiness to respond quickly to any fires that may start. Fingers crossed for a quiet day!!

09.01.2022 We're always on the lookout for new members to be part of our team. The Fire Brigade is a great place to meet new people, learn new skills and be part of YOUR community.

08.01.2022 Normally on Good Friday you’d see us out and about in Baddaginnie & Benalla collecting donations for the Royal Children’s Hospital. This year we hope you can still support this important cause via the virtual tin shake. #cfavic #goodfriday #goodfridayappeal #rch

05.01.2022 The smoke haze around our area is from the fires burning in NSW. We’ve already had one callout this morning due to this. Reminder that today is a state wide Total Fire Ban with Code Red condition in the Mallee and Northern County (this includes Strathbogie Shire). High winds and temperatures are expected across the state with peak periods between 11am to 8pm CFA (Country Fire Authority) Benalla Rural City Council Benalla Fire Brigade CFA

05.01.2022 I’m sure you’ll agree, hot work is no good on hot days Put down the tools, stay cool and stay safe these next few days

05.01.2022 Fire restrictions are coming in on 30 Nov for the Benalla area. For those living in the Strathbogie area it will be a week sooner on the 23 Nov. Are you ready? For those needing more information about how to prepare for the upcoming fire season the CFA produces some helpful publications. See: https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/pla/how-to-prepare-your-property

04.01.2022 It’s going to be hot and windy tomorrow, so please take care out there. There have been numerous fires started by escaped burn-off’s, please don’t let this happen to you! Our local advice is that it is now too dangerous to burn off prior to restrictions Monday (Benalla Rural City). #baddaginnie #benalla #cfavic #fire #firebrigade Benalla Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down Benalla Rural City Council Benalla Fire Brigade CFA

03.01.2022 G'Day all a timely reminder to think about "Are you ready for this Fire Season?"
