As many of our regular customers are elderly and vulnerable, we ask that you remember to keep at least 1.5m apart, if there is more than 2 people in t...he food section please wait outside and away from the opening of the doors. We have both sides of the shop open so you can always wait in the ice cream side also. Council have told us that we can not have people (even family units) standing in front of the shop while they are eating their ice creams (we are sorry to all the parents that have nice vehicles) Together with Dylan and Peter we are working together to make everyone feel happy and safe in our little shopping complex. 19.01.2022 Long post. Please read. I need your help. #takeawaylimestonecoast Small business in our region is in for a tough time. That's obvious. On behalf of my fellow ho...spitality business' colleagues and friends, and local gyms I feel like this needs to be said. It's now that I implore you all to help out where you can. Now more than ever (if you are in a position to do so) get out to our local cafes, restaurants and pubs. Grab takeaway meals, grab a coffee, buy some gift vouchers. WE need to come together as a community much like we came together as a nation to support our fellow Aussies during the bushfire crisis. The price of fresh produce is sky rocketing, only yesterday my chicken prices jumped over 3 per kg, my fresh meat prices rocketed up as did fresh fruit and vegetables. Between this business and the Hospital Kiosk my costs rocketed over $1500 per week overnight! Margins have always been tight in hospitality and every restaurant and cafe in town is suffering with this sudden minimisation of their margins. Couple this with reduced customers through the door and already things are looking rough. Add the cancellation of the fringe and generations in Jazz and you can understand the pressure we are all under. Phone your order ahead, pick it up with a minimum of fuss. Eat your takeaway in our beautiful parks and enjoy this sunshine. SHARE your experience on social media, tell people where you got your lunch from and how good it tasted. Purchase gift vouchers for when things return to normal. There will be a bounce back, we will all be ok, lets just insure our town still has the world class cafe culture its developed over these last few years. Ive picked a rough time I stand with Metro Bakery and Cafe, Presto Eatery, Thyme at The Lakes, Sorrentos CAFE, Caffe Belgiorno, Bay Blue espresso bar, Bricks & Mortar Coffee Co, San Piero, Royal Copenhagen Ice Creamery, Dessert Bar and Cafe Mount Gambier, The Mac's Hotel Mount Gambier, Mount Gambier Hotel, South Aussie Pub, ScRoll Queen, Badenochs Deli and so many other business'. The supermarkets are a nightmare, surely takeaway will end up saving you time and money. just a thought! Also if you are a member of a local Gym like F45 Training Mount Gambier, Iron-Will HQ, The Nourish Nook, Jetts Mount Gambier etc and can't attend as often, perhaps you could still continue to let them take out the recurring transfers for your membership. If you all cancel your membership they have no revenue or income. think of it as a donation, I'm sure they will return the favour for your support down the line. They are all small business' and have a family to feed too. We all do. If you can't afford it of course, that's totally understandable but if you can spare the money each week then do it. Kindness rewards kindness, gratitude is something that will return to you down the line. Pay it forward and we can all come out of this stronger and a little more united.
