20.01.2022 *** Community Information *** Following CFA advice to Brigades, we are putting in place some measures to help ensure we can maintain our important response capability, these measures include: * Heightened hygiene measures at the fire station and limiting access to CFA Brigade members only!!!!... * All non Essential gatherings at the station ie trainings and sundays are hereby suspended until further notice. *Social events will be postponed or canceled. If you are in the unfortunate situation that you need to call the brigade to your property and you have a suspected or confirmed case of Coronavirus or are in self isolation, please inform the 000 operator and advise us ASAP on our arrival. This step was taken to limit potential exposure to our members. If one of our members becomes ill, it could mean isolating the whole brigade, thereby making us unable to respond. Emergency response activities will continue. If you require emergency services dial Triple Zero (000). Rest assured if you call the brigade we will still be there as required. If you have COVID-19 queries please contact the Coronavirus Public Information Line 1800 675 398 or go to https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au Thank you for your understanding and your ongoing support.

20.01.2022 ***** Good day to our Badger Creek community, due to covid we will not be able to be on the streets this year Good Friday appeal, so we have created a virtual tin rattle which we will have the link later this afternoon all set up for us to do a virtual donation for a good cause. Thank you all for your support so far. CFA has been a passionate supporter of the Good Friday Appeal since 1951 with staff and volunteers rattling tins, hosting fundraising events and volunteering th...eir time to raise money for The Royal Children’s Hospital. Good Friday Appeal - Virtual Tin Shake One of the things that defines the Appeal has been the thousands of CFA volunteers on fire trucks and at traffic lights, in shopping centres, football clubs, camping grounds and at hundreds of events across Victoria shaking those Good Friday Appeal tins as people opened their hearts and their wallets to support The Royal Children’s Hospital. This year we won’t be able to be out and about rattling tins so we’re supporting by joining the Good Friday Appeal Virtual Tin Shake. Please join us in supporting The Royal Children’s Hospital.

11.01.2022 #StayAtHome and make sure your smoke alarm is working! Now that daylight saving has ended and we have turn the clock back - here’s the best way to make sure it is in good working order. It’s free of dust and cobwebs ... It beeps and has a 10 year lithium battery If it is older than 10 years, time to replace it This year, we also urge you to check the location of your smoke alarms, Most fatal fires start in lounge rooms and bedrooms. Unfortunately, some of these tragedies may have been able to be prevented by having working smoke alarms in the right places. We recommend smoke alarms be fitted in all sleeping and living areas. This is your best chance of an early notification and escape, regardless of where a fire starts. It’s also a good idea to install interconnected smoke alarms, so that when any smoke alarm is activated by smoke, all alarms are triggered. Smoke alarms are compulsory in all Victorian homes. Residential tenants are responsible for regularly cleaning and testing smoke alarms in their homes and to report any faults to the landlord or agent.
