The club was founded by inaugural members Jacqui and Fergie Kerr, and has now grown to over 115 members with a strong junior group!! 17.01.2022 Our Womens Doubles pairing of @gronyasomerville and @setyanam have made it to Bangkok, Thailand for the Yonex Thailand Open and Toyota Thailand Open. After transiting through Singapore they made it to Thailand safely where they have 2 weeks hotel quarantine. The first week involves a few days self isolation waiting on a negative covid test result which all athletes and staff achieved, followed by one gym and one on court training session a day until the competitions begin.... The 2nd and 3rd week of their tour will be the Yonex Thailand Open followed by the Toyota Thailand Open. Gronya says We can’t wait to get back into competition mode against the best in the world, it’s been a long wait and will be great to have the feeling of competing at a high level again on the word stage. 15.01.2022 SPOC Star Certificate Locks Club Of The Month! St Peter's Old Collegiate Badminton Club (SPOC) were recognised as a STAR club by Sport & Recreation South Australia. STAR clubs are clubs who are run exceptionally well and are seen as great community institutions. For this reason we couldn't go past SPOC in awarding them our Club of The Month for December! Well done SPOC, a well deserved and great achievement for all involved!

Sport Integrity Australia has brought ASADA, the National Integrity of Sport Unit and relevant units from Sport Australia together to help protect Australian sports and its athletes. 08.01.2022 Our two Aussie girls were back in action for the first round of the Yonex Thailand Open. They went down 21-11, 21-9 to a strong Thai pair. They said: " It felt great to be back on court together in a big arena against top players again. We struggled with finding our natural flow and following up on each others shots like we used to. We look forward to working on getting it back and improving in our next performance. They will have a debrief with their coaches back in Aus and prepare for next weeks match in the Toyota Thailand Open. Photos: Badminton Photo
